Default The Wedding Singer was on yesterday.....

on TBS..that movie still cracks me up lol . Just the 80s music and Billy Idol theme is cool, the old man is hilarious . Him wearing the Michael Jackson red jacket at the bar, doing the moonwalk, trying to fight Glenn "I used to be much stronger" and just his anecdotes at the bar are hilarious. Also, paying him in meatballs, without any napkin or plate or nothin LOL. The gay guy George playing the piano & Julia Gulia. what does everybody think of the movie/favorite part?

it's depressing to realize this movie is a decade old now, and almost enough time has passed since the "vintage" 1985 and it's 1998 release as now. I saw it when it was in the theaters and loved it, haven't seen it in quite some time though.

Wow, it's hard to believe that it's been 10 years already. I also originally saw it in the theater. It's probably the only Adam Sandler movie that I love.

Oh my gosh, I love that movie! That is the best Adam Sandler movie ever! That's not really saying much because most of his movies are crap, but he was great in "Wedding Singer"! I loved all the music and they were so authentic with the clothes, the hair and even the props! Just amazing! I felt like I was a junior in high school again!
BTW, last year a musical "The Wedding Singer" debuted in Seattle (yes, based on the movie), and now I think it's playing on Broadway!

I don't know what y'all are sayin I think Adam has a lot of great movies, my favs. are wedding singer, water boy, big daddy, anger management & billy madison. i didn't care for little nicky, espec. with the boobs on the head, the humour in it was corny and stupid. yeah i love the vibe in WS

what's the one scene with his nephew and fiancee who didn't show up. she's like hey, and he's like, linda you're a bitch

that scene cracked me up, the way he said it too lol..

I love this movie, too!!

3 of my favorite parts -

1)when Robbie's nephew comes outside when Robbie & Linda are talking and says "Hi Linda" and she says hi back, and then he says "You're a bitch", then runs back into the house

2)when Glen punches Robbie, Robbie's laying on the ground, and Glen says "Hey, why don't you write a song called(I don't remember exactly what he said, but he said a really long sentence) and that old man says "Sounds like a country song". One has to see the scene to really get the joke, I didn't do a very good job explaining it.

3)when the lady on the plane asked "What's the mile-high club?" and Billy Idol has this sheepish grin on his face.

And Drew Barrymore is just so darn cute in the movie!!

I'm sure this is common knowledge among the Wedding Singer fans and fans of pop culture, that the guy who plays the cook near the beginning of the movie - he's the guy who tells Julia "relax, don't do it", his name is Robert Smeigel. He did alot of the cartoons on SNL and he's most known for doing Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog. He also does alot of voices on Conan O'Brien, the part when Conan is talking to somebody on his TV screen.

I didn't know that! Thanks for the trivia!

My most favorite part of Wedding Singer is when Adam Sandler sings that song to Drew Barrymore on the plane.

A bunch of friends and I were just discussing this movie last night! Our church band also plays secular music at a local coffeehouse and one of the songs they played was "Don't Stop Believin'" - and we compared it to the string quartet version in the movie. My favorite scene is the "Love Stinks" scene. The father of the bride really looked SO MAD - like he wasn't even really acting!!! I LOVE this movie!!!!!

I totally agree, especially with the first 2! Yeah the scene outside the bar is hilarious . Just the look on Glenn's face when he says that is hilarious & priceless.
