The original Geico gecko was voiced by “Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer. In his commercials, he was the gecko who was frustrated by all the people calling him on the phone, mistaking him for Geico.

I remember those commercials. The Gekko had more of a proper British accent. |

Now that I remember the commercial, I can see that definitely was him. Very interesting - those Geico gecko commercials were much better than the dumb cavemen commercials. The newest one has nothing but the caveman dancing. Who the hell thinks of such a stupid commercial?
