Steve Carell movies
I'm ashamed to say that I've seen more of Steve Carell's movies than I have episodes of "The Office"!
So what are your favorites? I haven't seen too many, but my favorite would be "Dan in Real Life". I also liked "Evan Almighty" (once he started building the ark-the first part was dumb!). I also saw "Little Miss Sunshine" and I was SO disappointed in it! I didn't like it at all, even though it did have a couple of hilarious moments. However, Steve did a pretty good job in this movie. That was the first time I had ever seen him in anything. I took one look at "40 Year Old Virgin" and turned it off. Ugh! I haven't seen "Get Smart" but I'm dying to! It's probably stupid and completely unlike the show, but it looks funny! Anyone have any good Steve Carrel movie recommendations? Andrea |

I think my favorites are "Dan in Real Life" and "Little Miss Sunshine".
I've watched "Dan in Real Life" sooooo many times. He's just adorable in it. And I loved seeing him play a more serious role. He knocked it out of the park. And "Little Miss Sunshine" is one of my favorite movies ever. He has a smaller part in it, but still awesome. Oh man, his face at the very beginning of the movie makes me cry. He has such an expressive face and knows how to use it. And I didn't like "40 Year Old Virgin" at all (it would have been great if it wasn't so crass!), but I loved him in it, and I also loved him in "Anchorman", even though I don't like that movie, either. I even loved him in "Horton Hears a Who" even though it was only his voice. "Evan Almighty" was just rediculous. I almost turned it off in the middle. And I felt like the director were directing Steve to be as obnoxious as he could possibly be. Because he was way too broad and loud even for him. |

Little Miss Sunshine was terrific, and Steve did really well acting-wise.
I also love his character in Bruce Almighty.

I think Evan Almighty was a lot of fun.

I've seen Get Smart. You're right it's not much like the original series. But I enjoyed it and thought Steve was very good in it. Definitely worth checking out.

"The 40-Year Old Virgin" and "Dan In Real Life" are my favorites. Both very funny and very well-done.
I also forgot he was in "Anchorman".

I have to get the 40 year old Virgin now that I have become a fan of Steve Carrell from watching the Office.
