In the past year or so, I have posted quite a few messages about my fondness for the episode known as "Samantha's Protest". I have let everyone know that my favorite part of this episode is the set of events that led up to Katie's bubble being burst at the end. I thought that it served her right for making her own horniness more important that other people feelings and taking a stand for what you believe in. That being said, I can sort of understand where she is coming from. Even though I do not condone her behavior that was, in the words of Julie "disgusting" I know what it is like to feel giddy at the site of the opposite sex! Less than half an hour ago, I posted a message on the "Caroline in the City" page and titled it "The Subway". You would have to read the thead to understand why I gave it this title. In any event, the episode of that sereis that the message was about was called "Return of Sudey Guy". The thing about that episode that will probably always stick out in my mind is the site of Caroline swinging her butt to the beat of "Funky Town"! While she was doing this, she was wearing a pair of slacks that I though were to die for! Every time I hear this song anywhere, it takes me right back to this incident! Realizing my own sense of weekness at a site like this, I can understand Katie's sense of weekness at the site of the cute guy from the protest. I guess that you could even make a case that, I was thinking with my hormones while I was enjoying this episode. Because I had a crush on Julie since the beginning of the series, I always enjoyed it whenever something good would happen to her. While she was yanking one of Katie's arms away from the boy and saying "like this Katie" her sense of decency really turned me on! On top of this, I thought that Julie looked like a living doll in the long blue skirt that she had on at the time! Finely, it really filled me up to see Julie proven right in her statement, "he was not whistleing at you, he was calling his dog"!
God bless Julie and Caroline! |
