Default Melissa Joan Hart Boycotts Dance Show After Heather Mills Snub

Actress MELISSA JOAN HART has boycotted U.S. TV dance contest DANCING WITH THE STARS after she was snubbed in favour of one-legged former model HEATHER MILLS.

The seventh season of the hit show started in America on Monday night (22Sep08), but Hart wasn't watching.

She's still "a little bit" bitter about missing her chance to shine on the dancefloor two seasons ago.

The former Sabrina, The Teenage Witch star says, "I boycott that show because I was supposed to be on it and I got mad.

"The first season they asked me and I was in a contract with Fox and they wouldn't let me out and then second season I was pregnant, third season I was pregnant, fourth season they didn't ask me.

"The fifth season, they were gonna ask me but they replaced me with Heather Mills, or something, so I don't watch anymore."

But she could become a fan again - if show bosses picked her for the eight season.

She adds, "I would love to do it, it would be such fun and I just always wanted to dance."

I do think it was a bad decision. I do not blame her.

Melissa not only was a bigger star and more popular than Heather in her better years (1991-2003), but nicer and has a better reputation.

I don't blame MJH for being mad at the show. I would be, too!!!

I didn't know about this. But I don't blame her for being mad. Heather Mills isn't a star at all. Being married to a famous person doesn't for much. I think the current cast of DWTS is bad.

I doubt she was actually replaced by Heather Mills. Heather (according to IMDb) is 5' 8 1/2" and danced with Jonathan Roberts on DWTS, who is one of the taller male dancers. Melissa is 5' 2" and most likely would have had a different pro partner.

Sorry Melissa, but if you dance anything like Sabrina Spellman then you have no rhythm anyway.

i like Phineas and Ferb's idea better - DANCING WITH THE BEARS - where D-list celebrities try to teach bears to ballroom dance, but mostly just get mauled in the process.
