It's not nearly as scary during the day as it is during the night.
So I usually only watch it when it's dark. What about you?

I used to watch it while I was going to bed. After two or three sleepless nights, I quit that practice.

At night's the best time for me, by far...when it's dark and I'm alone.
It used to scare me as a kid, now I'm just intrigued by it. For what it's worth, I sometimes watch it in the dark with candles burning..... Cheers |

I used to watch UM as a kid alone by myself at 8pm in NYC waiting for my parents to come home from work. They would yell at me for getting myself so freaked out watching the show.
But i was too stupid to know better then Now that i am an adult, i absolutely positively can only watch this show in the daytime.

It used to be on over here on Saturday's at 8 in the evening, it was great in winter during the adverts when I would go upstairs for a toilet break, it was dark & you could just imagine the ghosts, serial killers, abductors up there waiting to get you- made you scoot back down the stairs real quick.
I still prefer to watch it at night when it is dark, when you know the ghosts might be out, a UFO might land in your back garden or some lunatic is out there prowling around. |

I watch UM at any time. But I mostly watch it at night. I do get myself worked up in a fit at time...but thats the fun in the show. For me watching it at night adds to is creepy nature. I commute to school 100 miles a way, twice a week and I take this really long creepy road (a close friend has nick-named the road "The Wrong Turn Road" if that gives u and idea of how isolated it is) and when I am driving that it at midnight I am totally on edge...all due to UM! I always think I am going to see Angela Hammonds abducters truck with that horrible fish decal or something like that.
Yeah...Im bonkers. Great topic though. |

I didn't mind as much watching it at night when I lived in town in the Soo, two blocks from the Border Patrol and one block from the Sheriff's Dept, but now that I moved downstate temporarily in my mom's while waiting for my new apt to be ready.....eeehhhhh. She lives out of the city limits by a river and where it's dark and quiet. Too creepy.
