I have tons of camcorder DVD videos (Sony mini discs) of the kids that the grandparents, aunts and uncles around the country would love to see.
The average length of each video is 20 minutes. I've been trying to figure out how to post them to You-tube & Photobucket (unsuccessful because the videos are either too long or file is too large). I tried to send e-mail attachment of the video, after we converted it to DivX, but that didn't work. We tried putting it in a zipped file; didn't work-(still too large). Anyone have any ideas of where to go for some help on this, or another easy (& preferrably free) site that hosts videos? Thanks in advance! |

I would try using MegaUpload, if you're planning to send the files to someone. That way you wouldn't have to do it as an attachment, you upload the file there, and the site emails the person you want to send it to, and they download the file. I've used it numerous times.
Hope that helps! - Kristen |

OK; will try that. Thanks!
Does it need to be a certain type of file, like DivX, or MP3.... What kind of file would work best? |

Well, mp3 is just audio, so that's not what you want. I don't think the format matters too much. But zipping might be a good idea, b/c it won't take as long to upload/download.
