I'm not joking. Last night, I was watching a rerun of CSI: NY on Spike, and later in that broadcast they showed a commerical for UM! The commercial showed (and mentioned) Dennis Farina and some photos from a few old segments, such as Kurt Cobain and Tupac Shakur.
Sometimes one has to watch a considerable amount of television just to see a commercial that you are anticipating. I watched Spike whenever possible in the hopes that I would see a commercial for UM. But when I finally did see the commercial, I wasn't as prepared as I thought I would be. The reality of it just hasn't completely sunk in yet. |

22 days lol. I can't wait either. I hope I'm not over critical of the show because we all love the original so much. I'm not a spike guy so I will need to tune in to look for these commercials.

Anyway, I saw another commerical last night. This one was different from the one I viewed the other night. This one featured a glimpse of the Henry Rollins interview and of an Elvis segment (specifically, the 1997 segment which explored whether or not Elvis Presley committed suicide). |

Just saw one myself... likely the 2nd one you watched.
I do have a DVR and I paused it and am going to show my little brother (who also happens to be one of my roommates) the commercial when he gets home shortly.. that's how excited it made me It started with Elvis and from there showed glimpses of The Kurt Cobain segment, the Rollins interview, a Big Foot clip and a UFO mention. It also had what I assume will be the new theme music in the back ground... while it's definitely not the classic theme we all know and love, this new music sounds like it has potential. The start of the commercial even sounded a little bit like a 'retooled' version of the classic theme for a brief moment. Can't wait! |

Let's see...Tupac, Kurt Cobain, Elvis and a UFO sighting.
Am I the only one anticipating this incarnation is going to suck? |

I bet there will be plenty of the older classic segments as well... at least I hope so.

But on the good side, it's going to reach a somewhat different audience, so there's hope some of these cases can get solved. |

I keep missing the commercials since they should a glimpse from the Henry Rollins interview maybe they the new UM will do a new segment on the West Memphis Three. Henry and others are still looking into the case. But recently the West Memphis Three were denied a new trial.

I don't think it's quite hit me yet, and probably won't until October 13th!!!! I can't wait!!!
I hope they don't just show the "popular cases," (Big Foot, Kurt Cobain, UFOs) and give equal attention to all of them...like the more obscure crime cases. |

I haven't seen the commercial on Spike but I hope the new UM doesn't tank.
