Default Eagles/Steelers thoughts

Well I am just back from the linc & let me summarize the game by saying this. I had flash backs to " BUDDY BAll"

I am not sure if there is such a thing as a perfect defensive game plan, but today was about as close as it gets. Jim JOhnson had an absolute amazing plan today & they completely shut down one of the most prolific offenses in the sport.

9 sacks, (should have been 12) if you count the times big ben managed to get back to the line.

Unbelievable play by our linebackers & oh yeah this just in... Brian Dawkins aint washed up!!!!!

I am so proud of my defense, every single guy contributed & big ben was on the run almost every snap.

Willie Parker 12 carries, 12 yards.. SHUT DOWN

The crowd was amazing... absolutely amazing.. Not sure how it sounded on the tube but it was electric.

Those were the positives, now for the negatives... well not a whole lot to be honest with ya, the fact that westbrook went down & we still gutted the game out is a good sign. The eagles whole plan changes when bwest is not there, then you add on DMACs injury & Uncle Andy kind of called a conservative 2nd half offensive game plan.

After 3 weeks I am really happy with my birds... they very easily could have been 3-0, the fact is they are 2-1 & easily among the elite in the nfc.

1. cowboys (they went into lambeau & took care of business & eeeked out a victory against the eagles) They have played real teams.

2. giants I think the eagles & the giants are on the same level, but I have to give the nod to the defending champs, but they barely beat a piss poor bengal team at home... that is not a good sign for giants fans. There schedule has been cake & they wont play a real team for a couple of weeks yet.

3. Eagles... A solid number 3 with a bullet, but westbrooks injury brings the eagles back to reality. He is the one guy we can not lose.

TO summarize, I now know the eagles are among the elite in the league & they are in this thing for the long haul...

ON TO CHICAGO NEXT WEEK!!!

Over/Under:

350 passing yards for McNabb against the Bears?

(Today, if you saw the early game on FOX, mriggles, Tampa Bay QB Brian Griese had 407 yards)

The Eagles D is really impressing me. They are so fast and hard hitting.

I'm amazed that the Offensive Coordinator for the Steelers gets paid to do nothing and not call plays to respond to the blitzing like a RUNNING PLAY-lol What a A$$hole

Congrats on your team beating my Steelers, the Eagles played a great game. IMO if the Eagles would have Blitzed the Cowboys the way they did the Steelers they would have beat Dallas hands down. The Eagles are clearly a better team than Dallas, and it will show, the next time they play. As for the Steelers, one game doesn't make the season. The Steelers will get it together, you can bet your ass on that.

Great win, mriggles & wreckless!

Thanks Bandito. It really takes a lot for another fan of another team to admit a loss and to give congrats. I think it shows your class and respect. Hope the Steelers do well further on.

He's talking about on defense I assume. Our offense was not bad. Donovan started out 15/15 but besides that, nothing really happened on offense. I'd say on defense we dominated their offense. Both defenses were great yesterday, hence the yardes overall and the low scoring.

I also think it takes a lot to admit your team lost or another team won. If the Eagles lost a game in which D got sacked 9/10 times, I'd be frustrated. It would be that kind of a game where a lot of fans would.

but my point is why did he have to talk sh*t about DALLAS when they had nothing to do with the Steelers losing to the Eagles?-lol So that's what irritated me. He is taking shots at my team because his team lost

Yeah, I don't know. You'll have to ask him that. I think we played great against Dallas, and Dallas did against us last week, but they came out on top. I could sit here and say, what if we didn't lateral the ball at the end of the game like idiots lol and threw a hail mary to win it, but that would be an essential dream, so no.

Plus there's still another game in Philly the last game of the year which will be important, so I'll have time to look forward to that, instead of dreaming.

So now I'm rooting for the Steelers to lose every week because of their fans
