Default NL Central Champion Chicago Cubs

Okay....I'll say it.....

HEEEELLLLLLLL YEEEEEEESSSSSSS!

The Cubs clinch the NL Central!!!

Now, I'm not gonna jinx Cubs nation by putting the cart before the horse and making championship predictions....

....but this is step #1 in reaching the ultimate post-season goal!

Here we go, Cubs fans!

Cubs are a great team. As long as they beat the Mets in the playoffs, if they play them and the Mets get in, I'll be really happy. Lou is a great manager, putting in the bench after they clinch, smart. They have a nice rotation- Zambrano, Lilly, Harden, Dempster then their fantastic bullpen. All around nice lineup. We'll see.

Yeah...i'm hesitant to say too much. I've learned my lesson too many times before not to run my mouth.

I'm hopeful...

...but I agree....

...we'll see.

Congratulations to the Tampa Bay Rays too . Beat out the Yankees, Red Sox & Blue Jays . At least for now, clinch at least a playoff birth.

The Rays are decent.

I'm like any team who can keep the Yankees out of the playoffs.

I love the fact that Jeter will be watching the playoffs on TV this year!

I like how the Rays and the Yankees aren't in 1st- that's awesome. The rays have done well this year.

I'm an NL fan more than an AL fan but still follow both. With the media drama that follows the Yankees and the fact that ESPN will crap their pants to air a Yankees game over a game featuring a contender, I absolutely LOVE that the Yankees are headed home in a few weeks.

Yankees Stadium is done. Yeah. That's a big deal for baseball in general...I'll give that.

But the fact that the last game in Yankees Stadium won't be a playoff game is hilarious to me.

Go Cubs.

I can't stand Boston either. Boston fans are bandwagoners and think they are the you know what.

In my mind, Phillies and Chicago fans are the best.

Cubs will be tested in the playoffs since they will be playing the Mets or Phillies

No question they'll be tested.

If the pre-All-Star-break Cubs were playing in the playoffs, I'd be more confident. But they've been shakey this past month...in more ways than one...I'm not making any bets by any means!

I honestly would prefer the phillies in a first round matchup with the Dodgers than the Cubs.
