It depends with me. I'm not crazy over loaning my car to anymore really. It's too valuable in many ways. If a person's a lousy driver, no way. Still, it's hard to say no to a relative or a loved one. Two years ago, my brother had my car for four days, while his car was being repaired. Some people won't loan out their car under any circumstances.

Absolutely NOT. There are only 3 people who can drive my car (parents and bf), and even at that, I'm skiddish. I have this selfish thing about me; I hate letting other people use my stuff because I know it will come back less than perfect and I'll be mad. Those three I trust though. My car though has always been my baby and you don't just let anyone take your baby.

Outside of my parents and siblings, no. But then again, that situation has never come up for me.

I'm not big on material obsessions. I basically let anyone that I trust borrow it.

No, because my Insurance only covers me and no one else.

I've never been in that position, but I can't see myself letting anyone besides parents drive it.

No, not really. If one of my parents was to ask, then fine. Otherwise, no. I don't want to take any risks with my car.

I let my girlfriend keep my truck while I was out of the country for a month. I always let her drive it.
Other than her, my cousin, who gave it to me in the first place... and my mom. |

I let my brother drive it when he and my mom were visiting last summer. We were coming back from Vancouver and I was tired of driving! My husband drives it all the time, but then again, I drive his car, too!

The only person who can drive my car is my wife. Other than that, nobody can. My car is an absolute necessity for me to get to and from work.

Hell no! My parents borrow it sometimes without telling me, so I can't really do anything about that, but my sister who just turned 16 in August and has already had a minor wreck in her own car better keep her hands off!! LOL

I currently do not because everyone in the family has their own car. Back in March, I lent my brother my car to get to work for a few days because the transmission on his car had went. It worked out well, because he worked overnight at the time and what am I going overnight?

I can't drive (legally blind) but if I did, I wouldn't let anyone else drive my car.

Yes, one of my brothers borrowed my '95 Lincoln Town Car quite a few times to drive to different places like Disneyland and Sea World. This was before he bought a new car and didn't trust his older one ('89 Nissan Sentra).
He is a good driver, so I wasn't concerned. He also drove my '76 Cadillac Limousine once. That didn't bother me, either. No one has driven my '69 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham except me and I would be a little uncomfortable if someone did because of its vintage and rareness. |
