Little Ricky from "I Love Lucy": 'Memba Him?! Keith Thibodeaux became somewhat famous for playing Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz's son, Little Ricky, on the classic '50s TV series "I Love Lucy." Guess what he looks like now!

The 57-year-old former child star resurfaced at an award show in Santa Monica recently, looking nice. Desi Arnaz gave Thibodeaux the stage name of Richard Keith because he thought "Thibodeaux" would be too hard for viewers to pronounce.
Keith and his wife run something called Ballet Magnificat! -- a Christian ballet company. |

I wrote to him about a year ago and he responded very quickly.
The index card he autographed for me has a place of honor in one of my scrapbooks.

I don't see any resemblence at all but he was just a little kid back then.
Do you think he still gets royalties from the show? I doubt it because he was and kid and studio execs are known for screwing actors over. It was probably worse back then. But since Lucy and Desi ran the show it was probably up to them. I doubt they gave him royalties as an adult. |

I recently saw an interview of Lisa Loring(Wednesday Addams of the Addams Family). When asked if she gets residuals from The Addams Family she said no one who was on TV in the 50's and 60's gets residuals as they just didn't exist then. According to her residuals only came into being in the early 70's.

Audrey Meadows had it written into her contract for the filmed 39 episodes of The Honeymooners that she would have perpetual royalties paid to her and her estate or survivors for the shows, one of the first if not the first royalty claus for TV. It helped that her brother was a lawyer! The rest of the cast members, including Gleason, only received payment after a certain number of reruns (since he sold the show and rights) for all those years until the "lost episodes" came out, then the cast members could negotiate payment for those episodes. I have a feeling the I Love Lucy cast received something for so many reruns, then after that number was met they would not receive any payments, but that is just my opinion.
