Don Knotts' appearence on Gomer Pyle
While watching the DVD of the season one episode "Gomer and the Dragon Lady," I noticed that Don Knotts can be seen in the background. At what is no doubt an inside joke, a movie poster for "The Incredible Mr. Limpet" has been slightly re-dressed as a fake movie named "Ship To Shore." It can be seen over Duke's left shoulder in the scene that takes place at the movie theater where Gomer has just seen "Ma and Pa Kettle in Hawaii," (another fake movie title.)
For those who have this episode on DVD check it out. Unfortunately I don't have the software to do a comparison shot, so I'm including a jpg of the poster as it was used for Mr. Limpet. |
