I'm not sure why it would. It's perpetually in syndication, plus most of us (if not all) have every episode on DVD. If they kept on going, we would've definitely grown sick of it.

I think Jerry did the right thing, ending it when he did.

You're so right. NBC actually wanted the show to return for a 10th season, but Jerry was smart to end it while the going was still good.
