Default I don't believe this crap!!

So...apparently...while we are still waiting for the rest of "Facts of Life" and "Diff'rent Strokes" to come out on DVD...Sony is releasing the complete beginning season of "Seinfeld"!!! I don't know about anyone else, but MAN AM I PEEVED!!! Such a CRAP show being treated like the greatest show on the planet while quality shows like "Facts of Life" and "Diff'rent Strokes" basically get treated like ****!! This is so messed up!!

I agree with you completely. I want "The Division" to be released as well but it is getting to the point where this is really ridiculous having to wait this long. It is literally coming up on two years since the last season release and it makes me wanna cry. I WANT MY FACTS OF LIFE ALREADY! LORD HAVE MERCY THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

hasn't seinfeld been out on dvd for a while? i know how you feel. i keep seeing commercials for newer shows that are coming out on dvd and it's annoying. these shows were just on tv last year or they're still running. frustrating. and i would loooove to have the division on dvd, but that is not going to happen. strong medicine was on dvd for the first season, but disappeared after that.

Default Yeah!

"Seinfeld" is a show literally about NOTHING!!!! Ugly, annoying characters who are devoid of all human emotions crying over stupid things like soup and candy!! And, also...ENOUGH WITH "THE HILLS" ALREADY!!!!!!

Seinfield? i thought they had the entire series on DVD. they're starting over again? i can't stand that show (and i've never seen it. lol)
my only guess is poor sales of Strong Medicine, FOL and The Division is the reason Sony isn't putting any more out (?) does anybody know how many units were sold of each?
but Megan is right. a show that's currently on TV gets DVD releases but not classics? what?

Geez, lots of Seinfeld haters here! Oh well, to each his own, I guess...
As far as Seinfeld relasing new box sets, that I had no idea about. They have the entire series in individual box sets and the massive complete series set. I don't have a clue what they could add that could make them better!
That makes no sense, really. Especially since Season 1 is only five episodes long!

I have to add to the Seinfeld comments. I agree it is a pretty dumb show. I think it's fine that it's on dvd but it's done now. Why go back and start on it again? I mean, everytime they release a new set, doesn't that add to their production and distribution fees. Why use their funds to support a show that is already out on the market? Give the tv fans something new.

It's just beyond frustrating that they have already remastered Season 4 and won't release it. We should easily be into the "Over Our Heads" years by now. I think that if Sony spends any time on a classic tv series until completion now that both Seinfeld and Jeannie are done, it should be Facts.

I totally agree with you Pfeifferobsessed in saying that I think Seinfeld is one of the dumbest shows ever and ive never even really seen it before. I just want Facts for crying out loud. I dont understand what they are waiting for. they could be making millions on this release and as for the Division, I am staying optimistic about it. It very well might be released in the future. also the other day I went on tvshowsondvd.com and looked @ what all was being released in the next few months and i was disgusted that all of these shows that I HAVE NEVER EVEN HEARD OF EVER ARE BEING RELEASED AND PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE GOING TO MAKE MONEY OFF OF THESE BUT YET SONY IS SO IGNORANT AND STONED THAT THEY CAN'T JUST QUIT PLAYING AROUND AND RELEASE FACTS. I DONT UNDERSTAND IT.

Wait a minute, Sony actually remastered Season 4? That means they got it ready to be put out on DVD right, like picturewise and stuff? (correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's what it means) When did they do that and why would they just not release it if they remastered it? WTF are they doing, keeping it in a vault or something? We want our FOL!!!!!!

I like both FOL and Seinfeld a great deal. Having said that, I have no idea why Sony is dragging its heels releasing the rest of FOL. I also have no idea why they are re-releasing the first season of Seinfeld when it is already available in one set with the second season, as well as the complete series set. It seems to me they'd make a whole lot more money releasing the rest of FOL!!!!

We are well into Season 4 on Comcast OnDemand. Those are remastered episodes. They did the same thing with "Square Pegs". All episodes were remastered for a year or so before they actually made it onto dvd. I thought that meant they were mastered to the point they were going to be if they were on OnDemand. I could be wrong.

Either way, I WANT SEASON 4!!!!!!
