Default Stress can kill...

A couple of days ago, I woke up to find that my right eye was bloody; due, to a broken, blood vessel. Today, I just felt, very edgy. Like I was going to literally, explode. I took my blood pressure. And, almost fainted, it was 179/112. Which is dangerous. Now, I am thin, I work out, I am in good shape. My diet is great. I do not consume a lot of salt, nor, do I eat a lot of "fatty" foods. I am just, STRESSED OUT. I went to school, earlier, and told my professor, that I was unable to attend class, because I needed to see my doctor. I have heard of people having heart attacks around my age. So, now, I am worried that I am, a walking time bomb!!!

So, please, (I know, this is very selfish) but, please pray for me..I need it..

Tara, I found a very interesting, but scary study on what stress does to the human body. I posted it last year. Give it a read. Try to find relaxing techniques to help yourself. I'll keep you in my prayers.

It's not selfish, I hope you feel better soon. I don't handle stress as well as some people, and have a lot of anxiety problems so on some level I understand what you're going through. Not fun.

Deep breath. Take a walk on the beach...that seems calming to me and you're lucky to be close.

I stress myself out all the time; I wonder sometimes if I no longer know how to live stress-free. But if it gets too bad, you just need to say F it...nothing is that important. You know...a bad grade, or dying. Gotta convince yourself that dying is much worse. I know that sounds silly. Just try to look at the positive aspects of things; maybe that will lower your stress a little.

I'm sorry to hear about your blood pressure being so high. That's pretty scary. Hope the doctor is able to get it back down to normal. Let us know how you're doing.
