She wasn't the traditional or conventional type of mother, and certainly made her share of mistakes. I do believe that she loved George. Was it ever revealed what kind of childhood she had? That would explain a lot.

When she was pregnant with George she ran away from home.

Her Childhood was kind of revealed when her mother appeared on the show. I can't remember off the top of my head but I do remember the part about her leaving home

The daughter she gave up for adoption, did she have the same father as George? Did Benny marry George's father?

No George and his sistee had Different Dads and Benny was not married to George's father

George's sister was on an episode tonight, and I guess they do have the same father. Does anyone know if they develop the relationship between George and his sister? Also, and this would be for you Pavan, if you see this. How did this show do in the ratings during its original run? ABC, correct? The more I watch it, the more I love it.

Yeah George and His sister started developing a relationship and when she was there he gave Vic a $1000 to take her out-lol Vick and George' Sister started dating and then she lost interest when he dyed his hair black-lol

George and his sister were on a few episodes I believe. Two different actresses player her, though. The show always did well until the last season where it did OK. When it moved to Fridays for season 3 obviously it went down but it went back up by season four when they moved it to Wednesdays. Each season the show it seemed had a different night.

As far as Benny being a good mother, she was not a good mother at all. The scenarios are funny but heck to the no as far as being a good mother is concerned. I would not want her as my mom.
