Default Three's Company

Over on the "Three's Company" page of this site, I learned that something happened with the DVD sereis of that show that did not happen with the DVDs from "Will and Grace". This reality is a big disappointment to me! Two posters mentioned scenes that they saw on their new DVDs that had been deleted for syndication purposes. I have started various threads on this page regarding my fondness for the episode in which Grace puts Leo's neck pillow in between her butt and the toilet seat. I always had a liking for Grace's toilet related behavior and remarks! In any event, I own seasons one through six of this show and I had been looking all over the place for the episode with this incident. I could not find it anywhere! I finely learned from a friend that I met on this site that it was originally a fourty-minute super-sized episode that had been cut down to half an hour for syndication purposes. This incident was one of the things that they cut for syndication purposes. As it turned out, when they made the DVDs they chose to use the syndicated version rather the the super-sized. Bummer! I am wondering if anyone out there might be able to upload the original episode onto "YouTube" or some other site like that.

Oh No

I haven't seen the episode in question (or any eps really), but that's crappy (to be blunt) that they put syndicated episodes on DVD's that they expect people to buy! Geez! As much money as DVD sets cost, you'd think that they would at least show the full versions!

Unless the shows are old and the sets are at a drop dead great price (which with 70's+ shows the're not) the whole ep s/b there. Even though I was never smitten by Three's Company I am sorry for the show's fans cause cut eps really do suck.

With The Adv. of Ozzie & Harriet, a show from the 50s/60s that I love, many of the mega DVD sets have syndicated eps. But with a 100 ep set like Mill Creek, which runs betw. $25-30 I make allowances since its like a quarter an ep. and they are eps I never had. However, I'm thankful I have copies of eps that are complete.

I am very happy to have at least posted one message that some people thought was worthy of a response! I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who remembers the toilet seat incident that was deleted for syndication purposes. What did you think of it?

Bringing this old thread to the top of the page is really just one more attempt to stimulate some conversation about this fine sereis! I should be back in about an hour to see if this thread has any new responses or even views. Take care for now!

I am bringing this thread to the top of the page for three essential reasons. The first and most important reason is to celibrate the fact that this particular thread has one-hundred views as of today! On top of this, today is the exact day that this thread becomes two months old! And last but not least is the fact that I, like usual am trying to stimulate some conversation about this and other fine shows! So far, only one other fan has remarked on what I wrote about Grace putting her husband's inflatable neck pillow in between her butt and the toilet seat! If anyone out there remembers this incident from the super-sized episode, I would love to hear from you!

that pretty much does suck, when i get a show on DVD i love to see what the show was like when it first aired. cuz syndication cuts out so many great scences out of our shows.

I am very happy to see that some conversation is finely being stimulated on this page! So far, I have only gotten a response from one person who remembers the toilet seat discussion that was ommited on the DVD. Dose anyone out there remember that incident in the episode in question? I thought it was great! In my opinion, the character of Grace had a way of making a lot of ordanary things including her bathroom function seem cute and sexy!

All over this board, I have been going from page to page trying to start some conversation about some of these fine sereis! In the past few days, I have had very little success! I am wondering if things might be different when I bring this thread to the top. If you have read the original thread you know about the whole toilet seat discussion being deleted from the DVD. This is because it was a super-sized episode that was downsized for syndication purposes. It was the syndicated version that got recorded onto DVD. I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who has a recording of the original version! If such a person was willing to upload this incident onto "Youtube", I would be ever so greatful!
