Does anyone remember the name of this programme? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It was a half hour sitcom about 10 years ago but I don't think there was a laugh track. It was about a blonde fashion designer / dress maker taking over her grandmothers company but I don't think the grandmother was dead in it. I remember in one episode the main character was trying to cheer up a man (with a puppet I think) with Aids and made an inappropriate joke about dying. Does anyone remember this programme?
