TV and Movie Trivia
Disney legend has it that Princess Aurora ("Sleeping Beauty") was modeled on
movie star Audrey Hepburn. The famous Three Stooges eye-poke is really a poke at the forehead, but the speed of the move sells the gag. During the first season of the TV western series Bonanza, the four stars (Lorne Greene, Pernell Roberts, Dan Blocker and Michael Landon) were paid less than the guest stars. It takes nine months to produce one episode of the TV cartoon series King of the Hill. Tom Welling's stuntman in the Smallville pilot also worked on the movie "X-Men" for Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" was the eighth Simpsons episode produced. Fox aired it first because the series debuted at Christmastime. In the final episode of Spin City, the secretary in the shrink's office is named Mallory, after the sister of Michael J. Fox's Family Ties character. TV Guide |

But speaking of Disney movies and celebrities, I read in a Disney Magazine that Aladdin was modeled after Tom Cruise (personally I think that Aladdin is better-looking! )and Steve from Full House (Scott Weiniger-sp?) was the voice of Aladdin. That much I know is true! In the episode where they go to Disneyworld, they are watching a parade and DJ thinks she's flipping out because she "sees" Steve dressed as Aladdin! That was a cute touch!Andrea |

That stuntman from X-men is one of my karate teachers so it is kind of neat.

I am so wrong. The movie was made in '59. I though it was as old as Cinderella!!! And the trivia according to imbd:
*Princess Aurora's long, thin, willowy body shape was inspired by that of Audrey Hepburn. Ok, next time I knock trivia, I better do my research first!!! |
