Default Shows That Relaxed You

Maybe after a hard day's work you feel tired or not in a good mood, or you just had a bad day or something didn't go right, what show(s) did you or do you always come home to put on or switch to, that relax you? Maybe the show was all about family, taught good values and just relaxed you. I'm not talking about shows that were hilarious, and got you out of your bad mood- they can be but what are some of the shows that relax you, settle you down or make you feel good?

For me it was always The Wonder Years. I could put in my bootleg series and watch episodes all night if I had a bad day and the premises and kind of show it was made me relaxed. Taxi & The Mary Tyler Moore Show were some others.

Believe it or not, The A-Team was always something that I found relaxing. It was first on when I was a freshman in high school, and there was something reassuring about the formula plotlines and the lack of any real violence. In a series where the bullets were flying, no one ever really got genuinely hurt. Unrealistic? You betcha. Fun and relaxing? That too.

This is a tough question, because there's a lot of shows that I could easily fall back on after a hard day. Two, though, have got to be Three's Company and Roseanne. I've seen them a million times, but they always make me laugh every time I watch them.

Another one is Mary Tyler Moore. At nights, when nothing is on, I'll pop in the DVD's and watch away! Same goes for Mad About You.

Well, The Andy Griffith Show immediately comes to my mind, because
everyone is so laid back and nothing seems to faze Sheriff Andy Taylor. By
contrast, Deputy Barney Fife is a bit hyper. But all the other citizens are,
for the most part, very relaxed and easy-going.

Also:
Leave It to Beaver
Happy Days

They're just "feel good" comedies that make you feel like the world is not such a bad place (if it's only for thirty minutes).

I was going to mention Seinfeld as well, but that always has me cracking up so badly! Not exactly relaxing!

Last night, after a really bad day at work, I watched my Love Boat DVD. It helped relax me quite a bit.

Happy Days is another show, one of my favorites and I love. It's just a great show to watch at any mood- unless you don't feel like watching it or TV lol. Otherwise, it's a great mood setter.

Home Improvement was one that I could just sit down and put on. Even if I had seen the episode a million times, it would still relax me and make me feel good inside. (Not to mention give me a couple of chuckles here and there!)
