I have always wonder if Mrs Burns knew about Frank and Margaret being Boyfriend and Girlfriend.

I'm sure if she didn't know, she would have found out eventually. She sounded rather clever because I think in one episode Frank said she was getting into reading books and was even thinking about working. Back at that time, that was a scary thought for a man for a woman to even think about (gasp) getting a JOB!

In the season 4 episode "Mail Call Again" Louise (Frank's wife) did find out that Frank was fooling around in Korea (a soldier who knew Mrs. Burns came through the 4077th and learned Frank had a girl on the side and ratted him out) but Frank was able to convince his wife the rumors were not true.

I do, too. But according to Larry Gelbart the picture of her that Frank kept in the swamp was just someone who noone knew who it was.

That was a picture of his mother. However, in the episode "There is Nothing Like a Nurse", we get a glimpse of Frank's wife when they find the home movie of when they get married. My question is, who was the actress who played his wife? She sure was solemn-looking, but hey, considering who she was marrying, can you blame her?

The actress who played Louise Burns was Jeanne Schulherr. Jeanne played a nurse in the O.R. in a couple of season 3 episodes of MASH.
