makes both shows more appealing and funnier than the Jeffersons? I'm asking because both of those shows have sold very well on DVD and now even have a boxset but the Jeffersons has not sold as well as those two shows or done as well as those wo shows in syndication.
What do you think the Jeffersons is lacking that it can do as well as Good Times and sanford and son? |

Absolutely nothing. I've always found The Jeffersons to be much funnier and overall better than both Good Times and Sanford and Son. The characters are much more likeable, IMO, and it seems to hold up a lot better nowdays as well.
I just don't get why SAS and GT have done better in syndication than The Jeffersons. They're good shows, but they're not that good. The Jeffersons had a bigger audience on CBS than probably both shows conbined, yet it seems like it hasn't been as overplayed as the other 2. |

Especially with Good Times, and what' more confusing is JAMES was the higlight of Good Times and was only on there for 3 seasons and the show still sold well-lol Unless lots of people thought J.J was the HIGHLIGHT of Good times-lol |

My thought is that more people could identify with Sanford and Son and Good Times more so than with The Jeffersons. Sanford and Son may have been about drunks, but they were funny drunks, LOL. I really liked The Jeffersons up until the 5th season. I rerally missed Mother Jeffersons when Ms. Cully passed away. Then George also mellowed with time. As for Good Times, it was about J.J. he always made me laugh, though I do admit season 5 was the weakest season. By season six the show had worn out already, even Florida's return couldn't revive the show.

I think all 3 shows are good but Good Times and Sanford and Son has a More Re-Watachability factor.
I cant think of one classic Jeffersons episode. Lots of classic Good Times episodes and When Fred Sanford gets into it with Aunt Ester it is always a riot! |

Good Times is funny and also has something of Importance to say about society.
'The lord is our "german" shepard' from a memorable and funny episode |

With Sanford and Son, I personally think that it had more of an adult humor to it. With Good Times it dealt with a lot of things that was happening in society at that time, and those exact same things are still happening today. But GT was about all of those things and it had humor thrown in. With the Jeffersons, I don‘t know, I think it was just an extension of All in the Family but with less social issues, It does have it's funny and serious moments like all of the others shows. They are all in different categories, I wouldn't say that one was better than the other.
