Smile Differences Between the 90's and Today, the 2000s!

I thought that the 90's and today were basically the same thing, but when I really thought about it, they are not.....

This thread is for the ways the 2000s are different from the 90's.....

In the 90's, if you wanted to record some songs, you had better pop a cassette tape into your deck and record songs from your radio. today, you can just buy an MP3 player and download songs off of your computer. And it doesn't have to be a few select(like from your radio), it can be any song you want!

In the 90's, the biggest problem with airplanes was the plane crashing down. Now, the biggest problem is a terrorist bombing/hijacking the plane(Septemember 11, 2001).

In the 90's, a VHS was the only way you could watch your favorite movies. Now, they have something called a DVD, which lastes at least 10 times as long as a VHS.

In the 90's, George Bush Senior was the president. today, his son, George Bush JR is the president.

If you were a teenager/in your 20's in the 90's, you are Generation X. If you are a teenager today/in your 20's, you are Genaration Y.

In the 90's, we had Fergie, the Duchess of York

2000's, we have Fergie, the female in the Black Eyed Peas

Also, not as many people had cell phones. Now it seems everybody has them. That only means more annoying people who think their life is so 'fascinating' and need to talk so loud on their phone so the rest of us have to hear your conversation!!

These days the Internet and cell phones are commonplace. There were hardly any (actually none that I knew of) reality shows and TV on DVD was unheard of!

Smile The rise of the Metrosexual.....

In the 90's, if a 'straight" man did his nails and did his face, and did his hair REALLY nice, he was considered..... GAY. In the 2000s, he'd probably just be called a Metrosexual, which is when he looks as good as his gay friends, but is staright(but just likes to look GOOD).

In the 90's there were bascially only three words that stared with "Trans" Transformers,(robots thatturn into machines) Transform, and Transportaion....

In the 2000s, more "trans" were added.... transsexual, transgendered, transvestite, and trans fat.... We are drowning in "Trans"!!!!!!!!!!! Whhen they came up with the term, "Trans Fat," I said, "Oh my god... Not another "trans"...... What the hell is a "trans fat"? I wondered.... Didn't we have enough with "Saturated fat?"

^ In the 90's, Saturated fat was the only "fat" listed in detail on nutrition labels.... In the 2000s, "trans fat" was added to Nutrition Labels.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!, those damned Trans Fats!

In the 1990s, NBC Sports televised the Fiesta Bowl, Cotton Bowl, Gator Bowl, and Orange Bowl.

In the 2000s, NBC Sports only shows Notre Dame football.
