*One Day @ The Division:*

(Captain Kate McCafferty is sitting down at her desk looking over cases when there's a knock on the door)

Kate: *looks up* Come in.

(Teddy Blumenthal walks in and then closes the door behind him)

Teddy: Hey Kate, Can I talk to you about Jinny?
Kate: *puts down the cases* Sure, talk away.

*Scene switches to outside Kate's office.*

(Magda Ramireze walks over to her best friend, Jinn Exsteads's, desk)

Magma: Hey, why is Teddy here?
Jinny: *looks in Kate's office @ Teddy. * I don't know.

*Back inside Kate's office*

Teddy: Well, do you think you can let Jinny take a week off from work.
Kate: When?
Teddy: Next week.
Kate: Why?
Teddy: Well, I wasn't planning on telling anyone this but....

*10 minuets later*

(Teddy walks out of Kate's office and shakes her hand. Jinny looks up from her desk)

Teddy: Thanks again, I really appreciate it.
Kate: No problem. I understand.

(Kate goes back into her office and shuts the door behind her. Teddy walks past Jinni's desk on his way out but Jinn tugs on his arm so he stops.)

Jinny: What was that about? Why'd you have to talk to Cap?
Teddy: Well..... It's a surprise.
Jinny: You gonna tell me?
Teddy: Nope. So, you gonna be around tonight..say around..9?
Jinny: Ya, you gonna come by?
Teddy: Yup. See you later. * He kisses Jinny quickly and then leaves.*
Jinny: Hey you gonna tell me the surprise? *she shouts after him, but he's already gone.*

Magda: *walks over to Jinny's desk* So..... *hoping to get some details out of JInny*
Jinny: So nothing! He has a secret but he won't tell me!
Magma: *smiles* How you gonna get it out of him?
Jinn: *smirks* I have my ways. He's coming over tonight.
Magma: Good luck.

(Both Magda and Jinny smile at each other and go back to work.)

(It's 8:00 and there's a half an hour left at work and Magda and Jinny are finishing up on the paperwork but Jinny can't concentrate)

Magda: You finished with the case?
Jinny: Uh..no...
Magda: What? But you've been writing something for the past 20 minuets, if it's not the case then what is it?
Jinny: A list.
Magda: A list of what?
Jinny: Reasons....Here look. (she hands the paper to Magda and she starts to read it.)

Reasons: Jinny's list.

1. He's gonna break up with me.
2. He's moving.
3. He's gonna break up with me
4. He's seeing someone else.
5. He's gonna break up with me
6. He's a drug dealer not a lawyer.
7. He's gonna break up with me
8. He found out that we're related.
9. He's gonna break up with me
10. He's gonna make me meet his parents again.
11. He's gonna break up with me
12. He's seeing someone esle.
13. He's gonna break up with me

Magda: What the h*ll is up with #6?
Jinny: (looks at list) Hey, it could happen.
Magda: Maybe, maybe he's gonna propose.
Jinny: (thinks for a second then shakes her head) NO, NO, NO, NO, NO! He's gonna break up with me, I just know it.
Magda: CALM DOWN! Here's your chance, it's 8:30, time to go home.

Jinny's Parking lot @ her apartment.

(Jinny was thinking about Teddy the whole time that she was driving home.)

Jinny: (steps out of the car and says to herself) Maybe Magda's right. Maybe he will propose. (pauses) No, he's gonna break up with me, I JUST KNOW IT!

Jinny's Apartment:

(Jinny had been home for only a couple of minuets when there was a knock on her door)

Jinny: (says quietly) Oh no. (takes a big breath) OK, well here goes everything.

(Jinny opens the door and Teddy walks in. Jinny closes the door behind him.)

Teddy: Hey.
Jinny: (kind of nervous) Uh..hi.
Teddy: (can tell that something is wrong) You ok?
Jinny: Ummmm...ya. I guess so.
Teddy: OK, Good. I need to talk to you.
Jinny: Bout what?
Teddy: Well, it's kinda spur of the moment but I think that you and I should.....
Jinny: (jumps to conclusions and interrupts) OMG! YOU ARE GONNA BREAK UP WITH ME!! (starts to cry)
Teddy: (shocked) No, No, No, (hugs her)
Jinny: You're not?
Teddy: Whatever gave you that idea?
Jinny: I'm a negative thinking person. What can I say?
Teddy: Say yes!
Jinny: Yes. Wait, what am I saying yes to?
Teddy: To what I was thinking.
Jinny: What were you thinking?
Teddy: I was thinking....
Jinny: What?!?!
Teddy: Here. (pulls an envelope out of his pocket and hands it to Jinny)
Jinny: (opens envelope and takes out 2 tickets) Tickets? I don't understand.
Teddy: They are... Tickets to Hawaii. You and I, just the two of us, are gonna spend a week in Hawaii.
Jinny: When?
Teddy: We leave in 2 days.
Jinny: (stands up) I can't take a week off from work. I'm so busy and Cap. would never let me. (hands the tickets back to Teddy.)
Teddy: (hands the tickets back to Jinny.) Yes, you can. I already talked to Kate and she's letting you go.
Jinny: Really?
Teddy: Really!
Jinny: Are you sure?
Teddy: I'm sure!
Jinny: We're going to Hawaii?
Teddy: We're going to Hawaii!
Jinny: (squeals with delight) Ohhhh!
Teddy: Happy?
Jinny: ECSTATIC! Thank you!

(She hugs him then kisses him. Teddy returns the kiss.)

Oh... yeah, by the way, my mom couldn't make it that year either because, well, sadly, six months earlier she BLEW HER BRAINS OUT!!!!!

Teddy:God, Jinny

Jinny: As for my brother, ugh... yeah, John... see, he just doesn't like you unless your American, white, and straight... and for me... a few weeks ago when uh... I had that nut case after me... yeah, I had to make a little list, of all the guys that I've slept with in the last two years. I couldn't remember some of their names.

Teddy: Stop.

Jinny: Ya know what? THIS IS WHO I AM, THIS IS MY FAMILY!!!! Come on, it's your turn. You go ahead, flash that all-American, prep school, choir boy smile and you tell me that it doesn't matter... it doesn't change anything... Yeah, that's what I thought!

(Jinny is all excited about going to Hawaii with Teddy and again she can't concentrate on her work)

Jinny: Ever been to Hawaii Mag?
Magda: For the umpteenth time Jinny, No I have not been to Hawaii! (She is very annoyed because Jinny has asked her this several times already today.
Jinny: I wonder what it's gonna be like.

(Just then Kate walks by Jinny's desk on her way into her office)

Kate: Drop it Exstead! Get back to work, I know you're excited but you have to finish that case from yesterday. (with that she goes into her office and closes the door.)

Jinny: Is it just me or does she hate me?
Magda: It's just you.
Jinny: *raises an eyebrow* Really? You don't think that she hates me?
Magda: Nope, she doesn't hate you, she's just mad at you. Now you HAVE to finish that case. If you don't, then she'll hate you. (Magda smiles and sits down @ her desk. Jinny also smiles and tries to finish the case.)

After work @ Jinny's apartment:

(Teddy decided that since they have an early flight to catch the next morning that he should spend the night @ Jinny's.{ Of course, she doesn't mind} Jinny is packing and Teddy is sitting on the bed watching her.)

Teddy: You take forever to pack, don't you?
Jinny: Well, I'm packing a lot.
Teddy: But we're only gonna be gone for a week.
Jinny: So? Didn't you ever hear that girls ALWAYS take a long time to pack and the ALWAYS pack too much?
Teddy: Ya, but I didn't think that that applied to you.
Jinny: Ya well...HEY!

(Jinny picks up a pillow to throw @ him but he grabs it out of her hands and then he pulls her down on top of him.)

(Teddy kisses Jinny but she quickly breaks it off, picks up the pillow and hits him with it.)

Jinny: You're not getting out of it that easily! (She hits him again and then she starts to finish her packing.)
Teddy: You're no fun!
Jinny: Ya, I know. *smirks* But as soon as we get there I will be. Now let me finish packing. (She doesn't realize that she's already done.)
Teddy: But you're already done.
Jinny: Oh ya. Well anyways...are you hungry? Cuz I am. Do you wanna go out and grab a bite?
Teddy: Ya I'm hungry, but I'm hungry for you.

(He pulls her down on top of him again and kisses her deeply.)
