What happened to Mike's "first" wife ?
Is it ever discussed in the series? (We know that Carol's husband gave her a divorce,right? He never saw the kids, which is sad.)

Mike was a widower, according to the trivia I have read. To my knowledge I don't ever recall anyone talking about her.

It was mentioned in the pilot that Mike's first wife had died - I don't think she was ever refered to again.
