The bad guys in many episodes have literally tried to kill him. He was thrown in compactors, ran over by cars, scalded in hot water, buried alive in wet quick drying cement, bashed over the head numerous times with glass, and in every episode, his appearance was clear. Everywhere David went, some guys always tried to kill him, not hurt him, but KILL him. When he became the Hulk, and went after the bad guys, I always felt, the bad guys didn't get what they ghad coming to them, because either they ran away before the Hulk could do anything, or when the Hilk did get them, he tossed them in the air, and I felt they didn't suffer the consequences. My point is, that David would have been a dead victim if he didn't turn into the Hulk, and the bad guys did what ever they wanted.

Yeah,I always thought that the hulk was too easy on the bad guys.Come on,those people wanted to kill him and he just tossed them in the air or in the mud. What's the big lesson that we have learned???You mess with the green guy,you get a free roller coaster ride. But,I didn't want him to turn into a killer machine either but,he had to be more rough with those criminals.
As for David who never gets any remaining scars, bruises ect...It's because his metabolism isn't like the usual guy,he heals alot faster than anybody else.He can even be cured from serious handicaps, amnesia, terrible burns and more. So,you right,he would be dead meat a long time ago,if it wasn't for the hulk. But,if he didn't do the experiment in the lab,he wouldn't be on the run and wouldn't be in those kind of situations either

And although the creature was a primal version of David Banner, he still retained his basic character traits. The creature wouldn't kill because David Banner wouldn't kill. This probably explains why the hulk didn't try to go out of his way to hurt anybody. When the hulk appeared, he always seemed to be following through on what Banner was trying to do; whether it be helping someone in trouble or just getting away from a situation. And if someone tried to stop him, the hulk simply tossed them out of the way and then left.
There was an episode where Banner was trying an experimental drug to supress his primal side, but it intensified it instead and the hulk came close to killing someone in his altered state. |
