Called Eddie Brandt's Saturday Matinee. I collect stills/photos of Miracle On 34th Street among other films and found the store through a book i read as they were credited as the source for most of the photos in the book. The lady who co-founded the shop, Claire, is such a sweetheart. She sent me 37 8x10's that had about 40+ thumbnails on each of photos she has in her inventory. She has over 100 filing cabinets full of photos with 5 drawers each. And best of all she charges only $12 for an original photo. You can't beat that when you compare to what they charge on ebay and half the time its some cheap computer print out. I think she attends studio auctions when they liquidate their props/archives etc. Also upon researching the store, I found that many of the major studios have accounts with them. Not trying to spam with this post, just giving credit to where its deserved to an extraordinary mom and pop shop that I recommend to fellow tv show/movie fans alike!

Thanks for sharing this! If I'm ever in Hollywood again, I'll check this out! There are a few places in Vegas (one is in the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace) that have a bunch of framed movie posters and so forth. Very pricey though. I saw an autographed poster from "You've Got Mail" and I kid you not, they wanted $250 dollars for it! No big deal (it was autographed by Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan) but the condition of it was terrible! It was all torn up at the bottom. I suppose it would have turned out okay in a frame, but still!
Another REALLY cool place is in San Francisco at Ghiradelli Square. They had a ton of Audrey Hepburn and other stars 8x10 pictures. I can't find the name of it (and I'm hoping it's still there!), but I want to go back there again! Andrea |

I saw a story on Eddie Brandt's Saturday Matinee the other day. Seems they also get business from celebrites walking in and looking for movies. They are loaded with stuff.
