I had the neatest thing happen to me last week! A few months ago, I was stuck in this 80's time-warp, after watching the entire series of "Square Pegs". So everything I wanted to see or talk about had to do with the 80's. Then I started thinking about how it would be fun to track down some of my high school friends. I didn't have many so I figured it wouldn't be too hard.
I found this woman's address online and figured that it had to be my friend Elizabeth, because her address was the same as my hometown. I couldn't remember for the life of me what street she had lived on before. I also found addresses for three other people, including an address for my junior high best friend's parents. So I mailed them all off and waited... and waited.... and waited... I figured that I wasn't going to get any responses and that was that. No big deal. Well, last week I got a letter the mail, postmarked from my hometown. I recognized the name and address and got really excited. I open the letter and after skimming it, I was like "Who IS this?" Turns out I had the wrong person, but the woman (who was born in 1920-and OBVIOUSLY wasn't in my 1986 graduating class! ) had taken the time to write me back! How sweet is that!? She was cute; saying that there are lots of people with her same name and that if it's any consolation, she has a daughter that lives in Spokane, Washington! That ended up being better than hearing from my high school friend! I'm going to write the lady back and thank her for her trouble! ![]() Andrea |

That's a heartwarming story. An 88-year old woman takes time to write to you. That's a great story, Andrea. Thanks for sharing, and good luck with your search.

thats is cute. she must be lonely. my mother-in-law is the same way. one time this guy called who had the wrong number and she started a conversation with him and they ended up liking each other so much they've been calling each other back and forth for a couple years now. maybe like a previous poster said you'll end up pen pals.
