The Apology Thread: A Fresh Start, A New Era - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hey everybody,

I decided to start this thread for a few reasons. The first being the recent health issues with my daughter have really opened my eyes. Life is short, and I really think it is time (for me at least) to open up and put aside my pride.

I know to some, I haven't always been a favorite. Some of that is my fault. I have an edge to me and sometimes I speak before actually thinking. For that, I am sincerely sorry. I try to come to SO, to get away from my stress and sometimes finding this board just adding to it. There are a few people who I think deserve my apologies for what I may have done to them in the past. I don't want to leave anyone out, but, here goes, the smurftractors, Sweadace, Dean Winchester, JO JR, Zoneboy etc... If I left anybody off the list, if I upset you, intimidated you or pushed you away, I am truly sorry.

I hope that many of you who left because you were insulted by me, come back to SO. This is a great place to unwind. I hope that this thread, will not turn into a place to air your grievances, but a place for GOOD THOUGHTS

I also hope to see some of the old faces back and ready to make SO the great place it once was and still is. God Bless

Good idea, Brian. It takes a big man to take responsibility for his actions. I'd like to see a board where everyone gets along, and I'll certainly do my part.

Let me just say, I have no grudges against anyone here. A couple of members really treated me rudely, talked about me in their personal journals, and even started a big private thread on the moderator forum about me.

But life is short. I forgive and I forget. My aunt has been sick for a very long time, and she starts a 3-day per week dialysis tomorrow. She is having to do this to filter her blood. We all feel her time here is certainly limited.

So, why call people names, curse terms, and make fun of them and belittle them? Let's all get along. The reason I feel I can't post here is because a member or two kept accusing me of stalking them. Pssst... Whatever.

So, why can't the forums just be a big

and everyone like everyone? I mean, certain people may not have a thing in common. But one thing: sitcoms. After all, isn't that the reason everyone is here?

Thanks, I really want the boards to thrive again and if I had something to do with people leaving, hopefully, the word will spread and see that my apologies are sincere.

I didn't realise anyone had left? Anyway, it's very good of you to start the thread, Brian, just like in real life, it can be easy to get heated on the Internet and people can behave in a way that they wouldn't normally and say things that they probably don't really mean.

We all make mistakes. It takes a good person to point their mistakes out. Your daughter and family have been in my prayers, and I am so glad she's okay.

This is a great thread Brian and I also commend you for it.

I think a lot of times things just get out of hand. I know I've done things around here that I later regretted. I also hope that all the members that left do come back. This is a community and when some people leave it just isn't the same.
