"All for You" (Part 1)

-In Jinny's Apartment-

Jinny: "No Teddy, don't leave me! Don't go! Teeeedddddddddyyyyyyyyy!"

She wakes up screaming with tears streaming down her face.


-At the Division-

Cap: "We've got a new case, Exstead and Ramirez. A homicide; male, age 52, gunned down in his meat shop. We've got a witness.... should be a piece of cake."

Jin and Mag leave.

-At the meat shop-

After seeing the crime scene, they talk to the witness.

Witness: "Well, I was getting ready to go in to pick up my order, when I heard a gun shot. Then a man ran out the side door."

Jinny: "Did you get a good look at the guy?"

Witness: "Sure."

Magda: "Could you work with a scetch artist?"

Witness: "Yeah."

-Back at the Division-

Jinny: "Some prints came in off the body. He tried to gag him and then shot him. His name is Antonino Shanbwa."

Magda: "Well, let's get this guy in for questioning."

Jinny: "And why would he want to hurt this Mr.Green? But let's get lunch first."


-On the way to lunch, in the car-

Magda: "I'll have someone check and see if this guy's got a record."

Jinny: "OK... Mag, can we talk?"

Magda: "About the case?"

Jinny: "No... something else."

Jin gives a look.

Magda: "Oh.. you mean about Teddy Dearest?"

Jinny: "Yeah, well... it's just that I've been having dreams about him. Crazy dreams...."

Magda raises eyebrows

Magda: "Oh....."

Jinny: "No... recently Teddy's been shot, he's left me, he's died, and a bunch of other stuff. Mag, what does it all mean?"

Magda: "Well, I think you're afraid of losing Theodore."

Jinny: "What? No way." laughs

Magda shakes her head and sighs.

Magda: "Jin, you're in love, and you're affraid of loosing the best guy you've ever found...."

-Jinny's apartment-

Theodore and Jinny are watching a movie. Lights are low.


Teddy: "You know what, Jin?"

Jinny: "What?" she smiles.

Teddy: sarcasticaly "I kinda like you."

Jinny: sarcasticaly "I kinda like you too."

Teddy: "What I really mean is.... I love you..."

Jinny: "I love you too..."

they kiss.

Jinny thinking: I know why I'm afraid of loosing him! How could I not see it before?

-later that night-

Teddy has left. Jin sits on the bed thinking and crying. She holds a brochure in her hand.
After a few minutes she picks up the phone and dials.

Woman: "Hello."

Jinny: "Yes, my name is Jinny Exstead, and I'd like to sign up for your evening class."

Woman: "Which one?"

Jinny: "The... the... the alcholol abuse program."

-The next morning-

Jinny and Magda are at their desks.

Magda: "Guess what."

Jinny: "What?"

Magda: "Turns out this Mr.Shanbwa has a record. He did time for dealing drugs."

Jinny: "Well, let's go talk to him."

-In the Interogation Room-

Mr.Shabwa: "I'm telling ya, I didn't shoot mo guy in a meat store."

Magda: "Then why did the witness pick you out of the line-up?"

Mr.Shabwa: "I dunno. Maybe they was trippin'."

Jinny: "Well, we know you made quite a few people be trippin'."

Mr.Shanbwa: "What?"

Magda: "We know you sold drugs."

-That evening at the Clinic-

Hostest: "Now, as I go around the room, please state your name and why your here."

Man: "John Luke. My wife said she'll leave me if I don't stop drinking."

Everyone continues to state their name and their reason for coming. Then it's Jinny's turn.

Jinny: "I'm Jinny Extead, and um... um... I can't do this!"

Jinny runs out, leaving her coat.

-30 minutes later-

Jinny realizes she's left her leather jacket. "I can't do this," she thinks. "Yes, I can. Oh, I'm not sure!"

She walks back in the room.

Hostess: "Jinny, I see you're back."

Jinny: "Well, you see, I just came for my jacket..."

Hostess interupts: "Jinny, it's OK. Everyone is here for the same reason. Try it again."

Jinny sits down. "Well, as you know I'm Jinny Exstead, and I have a drinking problem...."

Jinny: All right, fine. You want honesty? Why don't you let me tell you a little bit about my family? See, I never really had a birthday party unless of course you wanna count my 15th, when my father showed up for cake, plastered in his underwear! Oh... yeah, by the way, my mom couldn't make it that year either because, well, sadly, six months earlier she BLEW HER BRAINS OUT!!!!!
Teddy: Jinny, my God.
Jinny: As for my brother, ugh... yeah, John... see, he just doesn't like you unless your American, white, and straight... and for me... a few weeks ago when uh... I had that nut case after me... yeah, I had to make a little list, of all the guys that I've slept with in the last two years. I couldn't remember some of their names.
Teddy: Stop.
Jinny: Ya know what? THIS IS WHO I AM, THIS IS MY FAMILY!!!! Come on, it's your turn. You go ahead, flash that all-American, prep school, choir boy smile and you tell me that it doesn't matter.
