Favorite/Least Favorite Episode - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I know this topic has probably been done before but the board's slow.

It's really hard to pick a favorite, I like most of the episodes, ask me tomorrow and it will probably be a different episode.

A favorite is The Pajama Game. Ozzie and Thorney end up traveling around in their pajamas. A very funny episode and it's always funny to see Thorney get into trouble.
My least favorite and always has been is The Manly Arts. This episode with all the martial arts is just so out of sync with this show.

I'm hard pressed to decide on a favorite. I like so many of them.

For least favorite, there aren't many that don't hold my attention, but I will agree with you on Manly Arts. Watching them wrestle and do karate just bores me.

Another one I don't particularly care for is An Evening with Hamlet.

I happen to like Manly Arts--just because it is quite a change of pace. But is it a fave? no.

An Evening with Hamlet reminds me of those episodes of The Cosby Show where Bill could get away with showing something cultural just because his show was that huge and he had that power.

A new fave is The Tangled Web--you can read my review on that episode's thread.

I have so many favorites its hard to pick one - but if I must it'd be Fraternity Pin followed closely by David And The Teenager. And while I know you said one I really to have to throw Wally's Traffic Ticket in there too.

As for least favorite there are a few contenders. But I guess #1 most yuccky is Ozzie A Go Go. Joe is at his irritating best trying to be hip. GAG GAG and double GAG! And pretty much any Tiger episode but esp. An Honor For Oz.

I don't think I can choose just one favorite, but one that I have from a film transfer comes close and my 8-year-old granddaughter likes it, too.

222: The Runaways 1/7/1959

Ozzie returns home to find 2 small children [a brother & sister] hiding in the backseat of his car. They are running away from home to Alaska. He doesn't know where they came from as he made several stops while he was out. Ice cream stop, donut stop and the bowling alley, among others. Very cute as he tells several different people that he had a ''beer'' while he was out and then immediately corrects himself each time as it being ''well, root beer''.

The little kids are adorable, but the little girl, Katie [Katie Sweet] steals the show as Harriet and later a policeman try to get information from her.

Harriet: I bet you don't know where you live
Katie: Yes, I do
Harriet: Where?
Katie: At my house

Policeman: Do you know your daddy's name?
Katie: Yes
Policeman: What is it?
Katie: Daddy

Ozzie sings, ''Home Sweet Home'' and Ricky sings and then Katie sings, ''K-K-K-Katie''.

I don't have a least favorite one, but don't particularly care for ones that don't feature David or Ricky.

This is a tough question. From the earliest years, one of my favorites is "The Pills." Ozzie is on a diet while unknowingly the pills he took were appetite pills for Ricky! Ozzie plays that so convincingly.

Probably my favorite from the middle years is "A Cruise for Harriet ('58)." Ozzie's interaction with Penny Edwards' character is something to see. Also starring Joseph Kearns (later Mr. Wilson on Dennis the Menace).

From later years, I enjoy any episode with June Blair and/or Connie Harper ("Rick Grows a Beard," '65 for example). I also liked "Painting from the Past" with Kris -- and a great performance by Skip Young.

As far as a least favorite, I'm not that big a fan of the Tigers episodes, although it's nice to see some of the guys who went on to other TV roles. "The Pennies" is pretty darn good, though.

Does anyone remember the episode in which Ozzie falls into the freshly poured concrete in the front walk? I haven't seen that in a long time.

I remeber this episode. The little girl was played by the sister of Michael Winkelman, Little Luke on The Real McCoys.

It's amazing how most of the kids on the show didn't seem to be acting at all, just being themselves.
