By the way Jenny, have you ever heard Gary Morris' version of Wind Beneath My Wings? Bette's version is very good, but his is so haunting! It's easily my favorite version of that song...it's so beautiful.

I hate to admit that I'm not familar with too many of her songs but from those listed my favorite is "The Rose"

The Rose athough I prefer Conway Twitty's version
From a Distance (I like Bette's and the original by Nanci Griffith)
The Wind Beneath My Wings (Bette's and Gary Morris' original are both good)
Beast of Burden (Rolling Stones original preferred)

The Wind Beneath My Wings. It reminds me of my family and just wipes me out. It's a beautiful song.

My mom has most of Bette's albums. Bette had a song in 1995 that was good too. I don't recall what it is called though. I remember the video playing on VH1 that summer.
