Background: Teddy's parents decided to have Teddy and Jinny over at their house for dinner tomorrow night. This is Jinny's second time to see/meet his parents again.

Teddy: They know you made a mistake! Besides, it's at their house! You wont have to get dressed up or anything.
Jinny: I still don't think I should go.
Teddy: Come on, Jinny!
Jinny: The thing is, I'm embarassed to see them again!
Teddy: Just try one more time. Please?
Jinny: Fine. But if something goes wrong, it's your fault!
Teddy: All right. *laughs*
Jinny: I can't believe you talked me into this... again.
Teddy: I guess I'm just good at talking people into things, huh?
Jinny: Well, I wouldn't go that far.
Teddy: Why not.
Jinny: I have my reasons...

See, I never really had a birthday party unless of course you wanna count my 15th, when my father showed up for cake, plastered in his underwear! Oh... yeah, by the way, my mom couldn't make it that year either because, well, sadly, six months earlier she BLEW HER BRAINS OUT!!!!!
Teddy: Jinny, my God.
Jinny: As for my brother, ugh... yeah, John... see, he just doesn't like you unless your American, white, and straight... and for me... a few weeks ago when uh... I had that nut case after me... yeah, I had to make a little list, of all the guys that I've slept with in the last two years. I couldn't remember some of their names.
Teddy: Stop.
Jinny: Ya know what? THIS IS WHO I AM, THIS IS MY FAMILY!!!! Come on, it's your turn. You go ahead, flash that all-American, prep school, choir boy smile and you tell me that it doesn't matter.

[Teddy had already fallen back asleep a few minutes after Jinny had gotten in the shower. She was out now. She put some clothes on. He hair was still wet. She walked into the bedroom to see Teddy still asleep.]
Jinny: Teddy, are you gonna get a shower?
[He doesn't respond, so she shakes him a little.]
Teddy?
Teddy: Hmm..?
Jinny: Are you gonna wake up before we have to leave?
Teddy: *looks at the clock* Jinny, we still have almost 7 hours.
Jinny: Well, all right then.
[Jinny goes to the living room and sits down on the couch. She turns on the TV. Teddy goes to sleep again.]

It was now 5:58PM
Teddy was just getting out of the shower. He put a shirt on and and went and sat down on the couch with Jinny.
Jinny: They said to be there at 7:00PM didnt they?
Teddy: Yea. I'm almost ready. I just have to put my clothes on.
Jinny: Ok. So am i. I just have to put my clothes on and do my hair, and slap some make-up on. That wont take me too long.
Teddy went into the bedroom and put his clothes on while Jinny was in the bathroom. Her hair was almost done. And she already had her clothes on.

It was now about 20 minutes later. Both of them were ready.

Mr.B: Hey Teddy! *hugs him*

Mrs. B: Hey Theodore. *kisses him* Hey Jinny. *hugs her*
Mr. B: You guys ready to eat?
Teddy: Sure.

[Everybody had finished eating and they were now in the living room. You could tell that Jinny was very uncomfortable.]

Mr. B: So Jinny... How have you been?
Jinny: Oh, um... I'm fine.
Teddy: *puts his arm around Jinny and she leans back a bit*

Teddy: We'll just stay a couple of more minutes, then we'll go. OK?
Jinny: *sighs* Fine.
[They walk into the kitchen.]
Jinny: Can I have something else to drink?
Teddy: Like what?
Jinny: Beer.
Teddy: Jinny...
Jinny: Come on, just one!
Teddy: Fine. *grab one out of the refrigerator and they go sit down with Teddy's parents.]

Jinny went and sat down beside Teddy on the love seat. He gave Jinny a look and she knew it meant that that was the last "drink" she was getting. So she gave him a sarcastic smile. Teddy's parents were sitting on the couch talking to someone else so Jinny was more comfortable.

J: When are we going to leave?
T: Jinny, we just got here.
J: Yea so...
T: Just for a while longer. OK
J: Fine Teddy. Fine. At least Jenny isnt here or i would leave!
T: Yea well...
J: What?!?
T: Well...someone said she might drop by...
J: Teddy!
