Default Be honest, was Keith really that much funnier than Will?

I just watched the episode, where a friend of Will's, Keith, wants to be a comedian. Will tries too, but no one thinks he's funny. But when Keith gets up on the stage, everybody thinks he's hilarious. But I think Will and Keith were equally funny. What do you think?

Neither one was funny, I think at the time I had heard DL's jokes already so he was just using the same old routine. Will wasn't funny at all, it was just painful to watch

well D.L hughley was a stand up comic. def jam released numerous sets of def jam comedy dvd sets with the likes of martin lawrence, D.L hughley, cedric the entertainer and steve harvey to name but many. unlike will who whilst he was funny on occasions as his namesake character, he was more of a performer and rapper than a comic. i too didn't find any of will's jokes funny when he was on stage during that episode, so i wasn't surprised really when he got the type of reception he received from the crowd

Yes Keith Jokes was a lot funnier than Will's stupid jokes.

Will's joke about carlton looking like a minature bryant gumbel was strange because he never looked like bryaant gumbel to me.

No, Keith's jokes were 10xs better then Will's, in that episode at least. Will's fat jokes and short jokes, making fun of Carlton are awesome, but his stand-up comedy is horrible! Keith's stand-up was better, but he wasn't bad. Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor are all better stand-up comedians then well, but he's better at jokes, poking fun at people. Good question though .

Okay, forgive me for bumping a seven-year-old thread. But I just watched this epsiode again, and I stand by what I said back in 2008: Keith was not funnier than Will.

Maybe so, but I guess that it was deliberate, just so we would "understand" that he was supposed to be a bad comedian. But as for the material, he was in no way worse than Keith.

BTW: Carlton never reminded me of Brian Gumbel so I never thought that joke was funny
