Default Ok the series is now complete on DVD so do you see this happening now?

a Series set of all five seasons on DVD? I know a lot of fans have probably already bought the first 4 seasons on DVD but I just want to make sure a Series set is not released in 2009. I only purchased season so far and think I want to wait even though I enjoyed season 1 so much. What do you think?

I wouldn't be surprised. In fact, I'd be more surprised if they don't. They released the complete series sets of "The Andy Griffith Show", "MacGyver", "I Love Lucy", "The Brady Bunch" and the upcoming release of "The Wild Wild West". So I'm betting they will.

That's what I was thinking too and I think it's best to just wait. I want to spen my money wisely and not let CBS paramount make a fool out of me like Sony has Two Times

Actually www.comingsoon.net lists complete series sets for gomer and the odd couple coming out the same day as their final season sets. But I have noticed many times they have false information.

They're about as reliable as Wikipedia.

My fear is they will come out with Gomer Pyle the complete series, and by some miracle all the episodes will be original and uncut. I will be steamed if this happens, especially after buying the individual seasons and grudgingly accepting cut/edited versions of some episodes.

Don't worry Lee G. I believe 99% that would never happen, it would require the studio to spend tons of $$$ to remaster the discs over, when complete box series are issued, they simply put the original press run of the discs in new packaging, thus costing the studio practically nothing except pennies for packaging. If they didn't spend the money to clear music issues the first time, they would never do it for a complete series. so breath a sigh of relief...lol

Even if they are not UNCUT, you still have every right to be pissed just because they are releasing the same sh*t at a lower price

Sorry my pal solomon, but if they actually did re-release them uncut, then technically it wouldn't be the same sh*t at a lower price because this time they would be uncut, but that will never happen......but originally I would have paid double the price, lets say $60 per season if they had originally released episodes totally uncut.

No I'm saying he shouldn't be less upset if they release uncut eps because he still paid more money for all 5 seasons that someone is going to pay for the complete set

understood....very cool....I wish we did have a choice....$30 for a cut season or $60 for a totally uncut season! wouldn't that be great!

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they did that-since they did it with "TAGS".

Same with "THE ODD COUPLE".
