Default George being laid off, what ep was that?

Or was it off screen? I only remember seeing the ep when he didn't want to have the birthday party for Carmen but not the eps before that that lead up to him being unemployed and not wanting a party.

I think George was laid off or the plant was shut down (not sure), while an investigation was going on regarding a couple of deaths in a plane. A suit was pending and claiming that it was the company's fault. I didn't see the episodes that showed the viewers this, so I don't know if it was off screen. I put it together seeing the episode with Carmen's coming out party with the seahorses, lol.

George found out at the party that the investigation was over, and he wasn't at fault for the deaths, and his job was safe. Before that, he was mad at Angie for toasting to George at the party for his "emotional support". George was angry, claiming that told everyone that he didn't provide financial support. When George found out he was off the hook, it was so funny when he made a toast to pilot error.

I think the two episodes before Carmen's 15th birthday party (#36 Bringing Home the Bacon) is where it started: #34 Split Decision and #35 No One Gets Out Alive. #35 was a Halloween episode, too, so Nick at Nite skips it until Halloween...but be on the look out on local channels for it. #35 is where the plant being investigated really happens.

Yeah my best bet is to catch it on the locals, but I just don't like the time slot, 6:30pm,

The first episode this is mentioned on is where George causes Jack and Mel to have a fight and almost split up the company. They stayed together but at the end of the episode it's mentioned there was a plane crash and George's factory's parts may have been responsible. This causes the plant to shut down for a few weeks during the investigation.

Yes, Janice the show is on nearly all markets locally. It started back in September. In Boston it is on WLVI (CW affiliate), but not at a good time for some reason. Weeknights at 3am and Saturday nights (early Sunday mornings) at 2:30am & 3:00am. I'm sure by this fall, it will get a better slot as George has done very well in syndication (especially Nick at Nite) nearly everywhere.

Yeah, that's #34 "Split Decision."

At least you have a decent time slot. CW11 airs it here in NYC and North Jersey at 1:30am then same time NAN airs the encore episode from 10:30pm.

Still, its better than the post midnight time slot. It sucks dude. If I miss the 10:30pm airing, I have to decide which ep I wanna see between NAN and CW11.

I have been hearing about this LATV but need to check my lineup. I have Time Warner Cable. Thanks, Pav. Eight years and you're still going strong.
