Default Before I label "ICY HOT" as fraudulent medicine, I wanted to ask once the Icy Hot is

a certain area, it's supposed to be sealed tightly right?

For example when I put it on my knee, I'm supposed to wrap it in a Ace Bandage so the medicine can work?

What I been doing is after I put on the Icy Hot I just been putting sweat pants so just trying to see if that's why it has been working.

I'm not so sure about the Ace bandage, Solomon. I've never used Ice Hot, but I use BenGay hot patches. Yes, seal the edges as tight as you can to keep the hot/cool mechanism working. I don't know if the Ace bandage would help, or not.

I just put it on the knee and wraped it up with a ace bandage and put on sweatpants so I can cover up the knee real good. So I will see if that works.

Good luck. What's wrong with your knee?

Knee became stiff and sore from the AC being on HIGH all night with three fans on high also and the room temperature was too low. Now for the remainder of the summer, I will not have all three fans on high and the AC on 60 while I'm sleeping. Plus I will not close my bedroom door anymore while the AC is on

None of those kind of medicated ointments has never worked for me in the past, I think it's just a money scheme LOL. I just wrap either ice on my shoulder or a extremely hot wet towel and take a few Aleve’s, that is what works for me.

Have you tried using a heating pad on your knee, Solomon? That's usually helped me in the past.

I have but not with my leg elevated so I will try that tonight. The condition has improved since Tuesday,. On Tuesday everytime I put my foot on the floor I had to wait a while before I started walking.

The BenGay heating patches are like GOLD to me. They stay hot for eight hours. I put them on my upper back, and believe me, the pain is so bad I can on the verge of tears. Those patches always relieve my pain. You're right, they are expensive, but they work. Not for everyone, but they wouldn't be still on the market if they didn't work. I have three boxes now, because I caught a good sale and I had a coupon at CVS.

Yeah I just don't see how it can penetrate through your skin and get in your muscle and it's over the counter IMO if you want something that's going to really work you'll have to go to the doctor.
