Default Not that I mind, but why did N@N edit out the opening credits Tonight?

It was such a beautiful EDIT, the episode started with the teaser and then after that no opening credits just right back to the episode. It was done for all the eps, wonder what brought this on?

Now I don't recall the eps not having opening credits anymore on ABC after 1995 so that's why I was confused tonight

Now that I didn't know, Wonder why I don't remember that since I recorded the eps off ABC right up until the end. I thought N@N was starting to be creative like TBS for a second, I knew it was too good to be true-lol

I'm not sure which season the episode was but if you look at the bottom of the screen I recall some late seasons they wouldn't have a theme song but would show "starring Reginald.....etc" just like how they do with the producers and titles like that.

Yup right after they show the show title at the beginning of the cold open theyd show all the cast names at the bottom of the screen. They did that from season 7 on, except two season 7 episodes used the seasoon 6 theme song one last time.

Well I guess it made sense because by season 7 all the main characters were adults on the show so hat family matters theme which matched a family sitcom wasn't really needed anymore.

I thought they removed the opening theme starting with season 6?

I do like how instead of going to a commercial after the opening teaser scene, they go right into the next scene - ABC Family always aired a commercial there.

I'm going to have to check some of my old tapes and see a ABC ep because I really don't remember these openings.

Solomon, they never had opening theme song after season 6. Season 7 on ABC and Season 8 on CBS only had the credits during the first scene on the bottom of the screen. I clearly recall that. This was the point in time when most sitcoms leaned away from an opening theme and just had credits during the first scene on the bottom.

I'm not saying anyone is wrong, I just want to go back in time and just see what I have forgotten over the past 12 years.

2 episodes from Season 7 actually have the theme, "Talk's Cheap", which just aired, where Steve/Stefan/Myrtle all appear and the Christmas episode "Fa La La Laagghh!"

But yeah, otherwise it's gone.

Stations used to do this with "Full House" too. At the beginning of the series, the theme song was actually kind of long but as it progressed, the TV editing became choppier and choppier.

Schmoopie, IDK about you, but I hate the edits on theme songs. Leave them as they were:] Thats why I hate watching George Lopez on N@N or my local CW.
