Default Question about David's "B" last names..

Did he ever use Bixby? And did he ever use the same last name twice in the series?? And I wonder why he always used "David" as the first name anyway since he was changing the last name..

I guess he always wanted to answer to his real name of "David" He had to fake his death from McGhee, so he had to use a fake last name starting with B to throw him off. I can honestly say he never used the name "Bixby" in the series.

Wasn't the character's real first name Bruce?

But if he REALLY wanted to throw him off wouldn't it have been better to use any first name other than David? Just sayin...

In the comic books, his full name is Robert Bruce Banner. On the show, his
name was changed to "David Bruce Banner" (as it reads on his tombstone in
the pilot). Stan Lee explained the change was due to some network exec
(obviously an idiot) who thought the name "Bruce" had homosexual connotations. (If that were the case, why didn't William Dozier change
Bruce Wayne's name on Batman?? )

Someone quipped: what is so macho about the name "David"? At least, David kind of goes together
nicely with his alter ego's nickname (in the comics), "the green Goliath."

I always wondered about that too.He took the name of his wife "Bennet" a few times.Why didn't he use his own name for a change?I guess that he didn't want to confuse the viewers or the guest stars.David Bixby sounds good though

If he constantly changed his first name as well, he'd probably get too confused as to whom he was supposed to be.

Then again he could just use the same name each time;

Lou Bixby

It was almost like The Fugitive, wherever he went he used a different name.
