Arrow Crossed Paths (new fanfic)

Note: I forgot to mention that even if there's no high school scene really involved, Teddy is at least as a major character! Yay! It's also sort of NOT like my preview... I got more ideas...

Crossed Paths

I don't know him that well. He's lived in the neighborhood for about a year or two, but I don't know him as well as I know the other kids in the neighborhood. He's kind of an outsider, never talking to anyone. I hear he went to some boys' prep school.
I don't even know if he knew I was alive. He knows my last name - everyone knows who my family is, after what happened a couple weeks ago, nobody doesn't know who we are - but he didn't know me in general. I asked Casey and John if they knew him, but all they said was that they didn't like him when they met him. But I knew I would.
I was too busy though even to think about him. Family, friends, everyone, it seemed like, were over our house discussing what Mom had done. After two weeks my brothers and I thought it would be all over with, but it had just begun. So we decided to forget it. Or at least try. But I can't. It's not easy to forget something like that.
I'm not the kind of teenager who wants to chase after a boy once she meets him. I just seize them, without even chasing - kind of in a flirting way and kind of just in a normal way. But it seemed like I'd make an exception for Theodore - I had already imagined me calling him Teddy and us growing up together. Maybe getting the same job together. I've always wanted to be a cop; maybe he could be the ADA or something at the same station. I hope.
It was one day after my aunts and uncles had left, assuring Dad they would visit more if any of us kids still felt upset or something that I decided to see if Teddy was around. He seemed, from what I had heard from just a couple people, nice; I felt as if he was perfect to confide problems in. Not that Jinny Exstead has any, (even though John says with the way I seize guys and just start going out with them I have a problem with guys) but I wanted to talk to him about Mom, and maybe just do more than talk.
When he answered the door, I froze. He looked so cute, so gorgeous, I just mumbled, "Hi, Teddy." I felt stupid immediately.
Theodore looked at me. "Do you live around here?" he asked.
"Over there," I answered, "my name's Jinny Exstead."
"I'm sorry about your mother," he answered. "I'm too," I answered back. I waited for a response.
"You wanna go do something?" he asked.
"Like what?" I answered.
"Go do something. I've heard you're a really nice person."
"From who?" I asked.
"Your brothers," he answered. I smiled, reminding myself to thank Casey. I knew John would never say that.
"Well, let's go," I replied.
He closed the door and looked at me, my mind half expecting him to kiss me. But all we did was walk down the steps, beginning to talk even then, never stopping. You've done it, Jinny, , I thought, you've made a good catch.

(The end. I'm sorry if it wasn't like the preview, but I changed my mind a couple times and stuff, so it's a little different. Anyway, I'm thinking about a sequel, but I'm not so sure. Hope you liked it!)

------------------
Love is patient and kind, it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil but with the truth. Love never gives up, and its faith, hope, and patience never fail. Meanwhile these three remain: faith, hope and love, and the greatest of these is love.

I think it's great so far and you should post more!

------------------
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Blair: I've just had another one of my brilliant ideas.
Jo: Don't frighten it, it's a lonely place up there.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Blair: The school board was leaning toward rust carpet. Rust carpet against mauve walls, can you imagine?
Jo: Oh my Lord, no.

I think that was good! But is that the end? I think you should add more!

------------------
Teddy: What are you afriad of? Your afriad I'll break your heart.

Jinny: Teddy, I would roll over you like Grant took Richmond.

-------------------------

Jinny: Why don't you let me tell you a little about my family. See, I never really had a birthday party, unless of course you WANNA count my 15th, where my father came for cake plastered and in his underwear! Oh, ya. by the way, my mom couldn't make it that year either because sadly 6 months earlier she BLEW HER BRAINS OUT!

Teddy: Jinny, Oh my God!

Jinny: As for my brother, ya, John. See, he just doesn't like you unless your American, white and straight! And, as for me, a few weeks ago, when, ah, I had that nutcase after me, I made a list of all the guys that I've slept with in the past two years...I couldn't remember some of their names.

Teddy: Stop!

Jinny: You know what? THIS IS WHO I AM! THIS IS MY FAMILY. C'mon. It's your turn. You go ahead...flash that all American, prep school, chior boy smile and you tell me that it doesn't matter....it doesn't change anything.....Ya, that's what I thought!

yes..that did take me forever....but that is Jinny's life.

Hey JoannaMarie_1, if you want more (which I can tell, LOL) it's somewhere on the board under Part 2, which is basically all the rest of it. I'm glad you liked it - I'm working on a sequel!
