Default Surprise

There is one observation that I have made in the recent past that really surprises me! To start with, in the past week or so, this particular page of this board has been quite busy. However, the "Gimme a Break!" page has been as slow as mellassas in the winter time! The thing about this reality is that, I would say that the two shows are very much from the same generation and would attract the same type of audiences. They were also on the same network and both had a rather long life in syndication. I have started a bunch of threads on that site (including one on this very evening) in an attempt to stimulate some conversation about that sereis. No luck! Two actresses that I am quite fond of are Helen Hunt and Hazel Shermet. Another thing that these two sereis have in commen is that they have both had guest appearances by these two lovely little ladies! What do other fans think of these realities?

I'd never thought about the connections other then the time period...hmm...I'll have to think about that to see if there are anymore.

Pretty effective, hey?

Ive never seen that show but in my opinion, Helen Hunt is an okay actress i guess but she doesnt even compare to the Facts cast. I think that Lisa, Nancy, Mindy, Kim, and Charlotte have an amazing talent for what they do and based on ratings in the 80's especially, "Facts" was highly popular and often ranked #1 on the Neilson ratings. I'm a Facts person but thats just me.

I am bringing this thread to the top in an attempt to stiumlate some more conversation about the subject. I started by mentioning my fondness for both Helen Hunt and Hazel Shermet. Helen appeared on one episode of this show and Hazel appeared on two. So far, I have gotten a little bit of feedback about Helen Hunt but not any about Hazel Shermet. For those of you who do not know, she played a saleslady in "Shoplifting" and a music teach in "Green Eyed Monster". In my opinion, in the day, she was quite a babe! What do other fans think?
