Alan should have gotten Mia instead of Kandi!

Tonight was the second time, that I watched this particular episode, where Alan first gets involved with Kandi and Charlie has sex with Mia for the first time. And I keep thinking what I thought already the first time I watched this ep. Why couldn't poor Alan have gotten Mia, who actually appreciated things, which weren't just superficial, instead of that bitchy stupid whore Kandi? Because I think Alan could have had a good marriage with Mia, and not the only month-long marriage with that awful bimbo Kandi (who stole his condo away from him)? Charlie should have kept bitch/whore Kandi instead of Mia and just had some crazy sex for a couple of days, and then the nasty thing could have hoped away never to be seen again.
