For those of you who own the DVDs, if you look at the credits at the beginning of a lot of the episodes in the latter seasons, you will notice that the late Larry Rhine is very involved in producing and directing this sereis. Another show that he was very involved in was "All in the Family". His surviving wife Hazel is an actress who, like many women of Hollywood kept her maiden name for acting purposes. Hazel Shermet has made appearances on a lot of different sereis including the "Facts of Life" and "Punky Bruster". However, there is one show that I know of in which Larry has been very involved in productions "and" Hazel has made appearances! This sereis is "Gimme a Break!" Throughout this series, she has made three different appearances as three different one-time characters. One thing that I am wondering about is whether, during Larry's time working on "The Brady Bunch" it would have been a good idea for him to try to pull some strings to get his wife some parts on that show as well. If anyone out there is at all familiar with Hazel Shermet, what do you think of that idea? If you think it would have been good, what type of parts do you think she should have had on "The Brady Bunch"?

If Larry said anything to Sherwood, I guess Sherwood didn't like that idea of Larry's wife guest starring in the show.
The other shows she has been on, I have no idea who she is or how she was on those shows. Not sure she'd want to work with Bob Reed, especially the way he was with Sherwood.

I would like to respond to the one person who responded to this post and said that he or she had no idea who Hazel is. Because of how time-consuming it would be and how much space it would take to write about all of the shows that she has been in, I will stick strickly to her three appearances on "Gimme a Break!" The first episode she was in was "Mom's Birthday" and she played a pushy door to door saleslady named Rita. Later that season, she was in the "Emergency" in which her name was never mentioned throughout the episode, but in the cridits she was "Mrs. Larry Rhine". The part that she played on the episode was that of a busybody on a pay phone in a hospital. In the second season, there was an episode called "Nell Goes Door to Door". In this episode, she played a woman at a party whose skirt gets sucked up by a defective vacuum cleaner! I hope that I have been helpful in jogging the memory of this poster or anyone else interested in who this babe is!
