Although he's unlikely to pull in Britney-type numbers, Regis Philbin has agreed to be How I Met Your Mother's latest celebrity stunt. The Live wire will play himself in this season's second episode, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Details surrounding Reege's cameo are sketchy (not really, I just like saying that), but rumor has it the Mother crew run into him at a NYC burger joint near and dear to Marshall's heart.
