Default Season One Is Done!!!

Just finished all the eps in Season #1. And there were SO MANY great ones it hard to know where to start. Charles making the special shoe for Olga, Laura pushing Nelly, The Oleson's knock down drag out fight, the poor boy with the alcoholic father, Tinker Jones & his amazing ability to communicate...Founder's Day where Forrest Tucker proves he deserves a lot more than an "F" when it comes to chopping...and of course this is off the top of my head.... so....does anyone have a Season #1 ep they'd really like to discuss? I'm having a blast!! Have always loved this show (& a big fan of Michael Landon, rest his soul) so having the entire series is a real treat for me.

Should get thru Season #2 much faster as I've seen at least 7-8 of them already.

...the "LHOP" marathon has begun!!!!

I really enjoy the Tinker Jones episode because I just love bells!

Yeah, the Tinker Jones episode was amazing and inspirational. But Laura pushing Nelly out of a wheelchair...is that from Season #1???? Don't recall it???? If its from a later season I may skip ahead & watch it. Oh, and as long as we're on the Oleson's , Harriet's & Nil's fight was a hoot...but glad they made up.

I'll check an LHOP website for an ep guide. This one sounds like fun! But knowing Nellie, why didn't she just keep her broom by her side and she could have flew off into the sunset

Yes, that was The Christmas At Plum Creek ep in Season #1 where Laura sells the pony so she can by Caroline the stove. This ep had a very Gift of The Magi quality to it.

Sounds like this one from Season #3 (found it from a website). Gonna give it a go tonight!

49. Bunny

First aired: 10/4/1976 Production Code: 3001
Nellie's physical abuse toward Bunny leads to a dangerous riding accident, but as the little girl lies in bed with a concussion and bruises, Harriet is convinced that the horse is at fault. When Nellie appears to be paralyzed, her distraught mother blames Laura and orders Nels to shoot the animal. Laura quickly takes Bunny home with her and laments over Harriet's cruel accusations. Determined to make things right, Laura vows to help a bed-ridden Nellie with her studies daily, but Laura experiences friction with family and friends as the strenuous guilt over the accident deepens, and while everyone continues to worry about Nellie, they soon realize that there's a piece of this story that they don't know.

Oh now I see what happened. I was talking abt ep #2 where Nellie wants everyone to play her game and Laura says no. They have a fight and Nellie pushes Laura and then Laura pushes her back HARD & Nelly falls to the ground. This is the same ep where that bit**y Mrs. Oleson tries to rip Caroline off for the brown eggs. But Caroline stands her ground - she's so cool in that 1870s kind of way

Unfortunately, he never appeared on LHOP. That's one of the few shows he DIDN'T guest-star on in the 1970s. Bummer!
