Here it is! The sequel to Thinking of You... Might want to read that one first...


(((Jinny and Teddy's apartment))) (Both are asleep. The alarm goes off and she reaches up and turns it off without waking up.)
J: No more arson reports please! Captain, I'll do anything!
T: (Looks over in amusement, then leans close to her.) Then have that child.
J: (With her eyes still closed, she slaps Teddy.) Shut up. What time is it?
T: What time does the alarm usually go off?
J: If you tell me it's 4:30, I'm going to hit something, most likely--
T: Me?
J: (Smiles.) I'm glad we understand each other. (((Later at the Division.)))
M: Hey, Jinn. How's it goin'?
J: You were pregnant once, how do you think I feel? Nothing fits anymore, I can't see my feet, and I think I'm gonna die before this little child is born!
M: Can you name ONE good reason?
J: Um... Teddy gives me a full body massage every night. (Magda scoffs as C.D. and Angela enter.)
A: The man had the chance, the means and the motive.
C: You've just stated plaintiff's side, unfortunately we are defendant. Hey, Jinn.
A: How's it goin'? (Jinny sighs.)
M: (Whispers.) She can't see her feet.
C: Oh!
J: Well, I think I'm gonna be seein' them a lot sooner than expected!
A: You mean...
C: Ooh!
M: Um... Angela, get Captain. C.D., get Teddy! Jinny, breathe. Breathe. (((Hospital)))
T: (Holding Jinny's hand.) Push! Squeeze! Ow! Not that hard!
J: How long have we been here?
M: (Looks at watch.) Almost an hour.
J: Shouldn't I be progressing a little?
Nurse: You have! You're halfway there!
J: Can't you just cut me open and get it over with?
T: Jinny, you said, you wanted natural childbirth.
J: Right.
NU: Childbirth, is a painful experience, but when you see your child, it's all worth it. You're all cops?
J: (Motions to Teddy.) Except him. He's an ADA. Let me try this approach, if you don't give me the durgs, and I mean now, I'll sue you!
T: You can't do that!
J: Shut up!
Nu: I'll go get your doctor.
T: You're doing fine.
J: Teddy, I want to tell you something, and I don't want you to take this the wrong way but, I HATE YOU!!!!!
T: Well!
J: Oh, I'm sorry! I don't hate you, I'm just in pain, I don't mean what I say!
T: I understand.
J: Shut up!
M: Where's the pounding surf when you need it?
J: It's over
T: The contraction?
J: No, the entire birthing process. Yes the contraction! (((About 3 hours later.)))
C: It's noon. Shouldn't someone call Captain?
M: Angela?
A: C.D.?
C: Magda?
M: So, what are you naming it?
T: Melissa.
J: It's a boy.
A: Did you find out?
J: No, but since he keeps sayin' it's gonna be a girl, it's gonna be a boy.
T: But, since she keeps saying that it's going to be a boy, it's going to be a girl.
K: (Enters.) Maybe it'll be a squirrel.
J: How'd you find us?
K: (Shrugs.) Should've been a dectective.
Nu: Okay! Is the epidural kicking in?
J: Oh, yes.
Nu: Can you choose three people to stay in here with you? Hospital policy.
J: Gosh, Teddy, Magda... and... Captain? C.D., Angela? Next time?
A: We understand.
C: Let's go.
T: Guess it's just us now.
K: Yeah
M: You're doing fine, Jinn.
J: I want it out of me! (((Waiting room. 15 minutes later.))) (C.D. and Angela are waiting.)
C: Row, row, row your boat, (Angela starts.) Gently down the stream. Merrily, merrily, merrily. merrily life is but a dream.
A: Life is but a dream. I'm bored.
C: Me, too. (Teddy comes out.)
A: Teddy!
C: Well?
T: I say breathe out, she breathes in. I say, "It's for the baby." She says, "I've changed my mind. I don't want the baby anymore." She hates me. She won't listen to a thing I say.
C: It can't be THAT bad.
T: She spit in my face.
A: Eww.
T: Okay, she didn't spit in my face, but I could tell she wanted to, so I came out here. (Magda sticks her head out of the door.)
M: Theodore... it's time! Come on!
C: Good luck! (Magda and Teddy go into Jinny's room.)
J: I demand for you to cut me open!
T: Honey, calm down!
J: Don't tell me to cal down, you're not the one in labor!
T: If I could feel all of the pain for you, I would.
J: And you'd do a sucky job!
Dr: Okay, Jinny, push really hard for about 10 seconds. Can you do that?
J: Can I do it? Huh, I was BORN for it!
T: Push, Jinny!
Dr: Okay, the baby's crowning.
T: What does that mean?
M: It means we can see the head.
T: I wanna see! (He looks, then faints at the sight of blood.
J: Wuss! (((5 minutes later.)
Dr: Once more, Jinny. (Jinny moans and gives it all she's got.) It's a girl. (He wraps the baby up and gives her to Jinny. Teddy wakes up.)
T: What did I miss?
J: The birth of our daughter. Oh, Teddy. K: Congrats, Jinny.
M: We're gonna go. (They leave.)
J: Oh, Teddy, I know you want to name her Melissa, but I'd want to give her my mother's name. Joy. Do you like it?
T: Melissa Joy... It rings.
