[This scene starts at the station, everyone is at their desk. (CD and Angela are at the beach on a vacation.) A 14 year old girl with short, blond hair, blue jeans, a leather jacket, and an eyebrow ring walks in and sits in the chair next to Jinny's desk.]

**[Scene 1]
Jinny: Linzey?!
Linzey: Hey Jin, how's it goin'?
Jinny: Pretty good. *Jinny sits up* Wadda 'bout you? Why aren't you at home?
Linzey: I just got tired of being at home. *pauses and looks around* So, you got you a guy?
Jinny: Well, yeah... kinda.
[Kate walks in]
Kate: What's she in for?
Jinny: She's not in for anything. She's my cousin from the Bronx.
[Kate starts to walk off]
Linzey: *whispers to Jinny* What crawled up her ass and died?
Kate: I heard that!
Jinny: Don't worry about it...
Linzey: I wasn't planning on it. So, about this guy of yours... who is he?
[Teddy walks in and pats Jinny on the shoulder.]
Teddy: *whispers to Jinny* I love you.
[Teddy walks into the Captains office.]
Linzey: Ohhh.... *snickers* Jin, I didn't think you went for guys like that!
Jinny: Well, I don't, exactally. So... you gotta guy?
Linzey: Yeah, I guess you could say that.
Jinny: What does he look like?
Linzey: Well...
[Magda walks up]
Magda: Who is this?
Jinny: Oh, this is my cousin, Linzey, from the Bronx.
Magda: *looks kind of shocked* *pauses* Hey Linzey, I'm Magda.
[Linzey just looks at her]
[Jinny clears her throat]
Jinny: Well, I guess we'd better be going.
Magda: Alright Jin, see ya tomorrow.
[Jinny grabs her coat and heads for the door. Linzey follows. Teddy walks out of the Captain's office]
Teddy: Jinny!
[Jinny turns around]
Jinny: Uh... *is embarassed because of the looks of her cousin* Teddy.
Teddy: *looks at Linzey* Ummm... who are you?
Linzey: I'm Jin's cousin.
Teddy: *pauses* Well, can I buy you two some dinner or something?
Jinny: No, that's OK. *Looks at Linzey and tries to rush out the door* Let's go home.
[Linzey walks out the door and out to the parking lot]
Teddy: Why is your cousin here?
Jinny: I don't know, she just said she was tired of being at home. I have a feeling something is wrong.
Teddy: It'll be alright.
[Teddy gives Jinny a LOOOOOOOONG kiss... ]

**[Scene 2]
[Linzey is standing at the door and Jinny walks out]
Linzey: What took you so long?
Jinny: I was talking to Teddy.
Linzey: About who? Me? Or was he just puttin' the moves on ya? *laughs*
[Jinny looks at Linzey, rolls her eyes, and then laughs] [They get in the car and drive to Jinny's apartment][Jinny opens the door and Linzey walks in and plops herself on the couch]
Jinny: Are you hungry?
Linzey: No.
Jinny: Well, I am. I'm gonna go get something, are you sure you don't want to come?
Linzey: Yes!
[Jinny opens the door any walks out. Linzey waits a minute and then opens the door to make sure she's gone, then she pulls out a knife and goes to the bathroom and begins to cut herself. The doorbell rings. She puts a tissue on the cut, covers it up with her jacket and runs to the door.]
Linzey: Who is it?
Teddy: It's Teddy!
[Linzey opens the door]
Teddy: Is Jinny here?
Linzey: Does it look like she's here, Romeo?!
Teddy: Well, where is she?
Linzey: I don't know. She went to get some food or something.
Teddy: Do you know when she'll be back?
Linzey: Just come back in about 15 minutes, OK?
[Linzey slams the door and locks it and runs to the bathroom. She lifts up her sleeve and grabs another tissue.]
Linzey: Damn!
[There's blood all in the sink. Finally she get the bleeding stopped and rinses out the sink. Then she goes to the kitchen, get's her some beer and sits down on the couch.]
[Keys rattle and then the door opens.]
Jinny: Linzey! I'm back!
[Linzey looks at Jinny and looks kind of embarassed.][She tries to hide the beer but Jinny sees it.]
Jinny: What is that?!?!?!
Linzey: Nothing.
Jinny: Give me that!!!! [Jinny jerks the bottle away from her, goes in the kitchen, and shoves in back into the refrigerator.] What did you think you were doing? I could get arrest, *cuts off arrested and starts back quickly* you could get arrested! Promise me I won't catch you doing this again.
Linzey: Fine. I promise... *mumbles to herself* that you won't catch me...
[Jinny turns around a looks at Linzey.]
Jinny: Did anybody call why I was gone?
Linzey: No, but lover boy came by.
Jinny: *gives Linzey, "the eye"* What did he say?
Teddy: He wanted to know if you were here. He should be back in a few minutes.
Jinny: Fine. Tell me about this guy of yours.
Linzey: What do you wanna know?
Jinny: What's his name? What does he look like? Is he treating you good?
Linzey: Josh Warner. 5'7", brown hair, brown eyes, HOTT. Yes.
[Someone knocks on the door][Jinny gets up and opens the door]
Teddy: Jinny, I need to talk you you.
Jinny: *Uses her eyes to motion toward Linzey* Can it wait?
Teddy: No, I have to talk to you, now.
Jinny: Umm... OK. Lemme call Magda and see if she can show Linzey around or something...
[Jinny picks up the phone and dials Magda's phone number]
Magda: Hello?
Jinny: Magda?
Magda: Yeah, this is she.
Jinny: Hey, this is Jinny, I need you to do me a really big favor.
Magda: Sure Jinny, what is it?
Jinny: I need you to show Linzey around the town. Take her to the pier or to the Anchorside.
Magda: Jin, I don't know...
Jinny: Please Magda, Teddy has to talk to me!
Magda: OK Jin, if your sure about this...
Jinny: I am. Be here in about 10 minutes. Bye!
Magda: Bye.
[Jinny hangs up the phone]
Teddy: So...
Jinny: She said she can.
Linzey: *mumbles to herself* Great...
Jinny: What was that?
Linzey: Nothing, nothing...

**[Scene 3]
[Linzey and Magda are at the Anchorside Bar & Grill.]
Josh: Linzey!
[Linzey turns around]
Linzey: Josh! What are you doing here?!
[Linzey gets up and hugs him. Magda is watching attentively.]
Josh: Why did you leave?
Linzey: I just got sick of my parents. I needed a change.
[Magda looks at Linzey's arm and see's part of a cut.]
Magda: Linzey, what happened to your arm?
Linzey: What? * looks at her arm and pulls down her sleeve* Oh, nothing.
Magda: I'll be right back.
[Scene switches to Jinny and Teddy. They're at her apartment, sitting on her couch, talking]
Jinny: What did you need to talk to me about?
Teddy: Jinny, I think we need to get more serious with our relationship.
Jinny: What do you mean? Go steady? *Jinny kind of laughs*
Teddy: Yes.
Jinny: *pauses* Oh.
Teddy: I want us to be closer than we've ever been before.
Jinny: Let me think about it, OK?
Teddy: OK. Just let me know soon.
[Teddy and Jinny get up and walk to the door.]
Teddy: Well, I guess I'll see you tomorrow.
Jinny: Yeah, I guess you will.
[Teddy kisses Jinny on the cheek and shuts the door. The phone rings.]
Jinny: Hello?
Magda: Hey Jin, it's Magda. I think we've got a problem.
Jinny: What do you mean?
Magda: I mean, I think Linzey's cutting herself.
Jinny: Are you serious?!
Magda: Yes, and she's talking to a guy named Josh right now. Do you know who he is?
Jinny: Yeah, he's Linzey's boyfriend.
Magda: Well, I think we'd better come back. Has Teddy left yet?
Jinny: Yeah, just a minute ago.
Magda: We'll be there in a few minutes. Bye.
Jinny: Bye.
[Scene switches back to the Anchorside. Magda walks in. Linzey and Josh are talking.]
Magda: Come on Linzey, Jinny wants you back at her apartment.
Linzey: Why?
Magda: Don't ask questions. Let's go.
Linzey: Bye Josh!
Josh: Bye Linzey, I love you!
Linzey: I love you too.

**[Scene 4]
[Magda and Linzey are at Jinny's apartment. Magda knocks on the door and Jinny opens it.]
Magda: We're back.
Jinny: Good.
Magda: See ya tomorrow, Jin. *winks at her as a sign of good luck*
Jinny: Did you have a good time, Linzey?
Linzey: Yeah! Guess who I saw!
Jinny: Who?
Linzey: *Puts her hand on the arm of the couch* Josh!
Jinny: Oh really? *Jinny lifts up the sleeve of Linzey's jacket* What is this!?!?!?! [Linzey jerks her arm away from Jinny] Linzey, I can't believe you! Why would you do a thing like this?!
Linzey: Jinny, please don't tell my parents about this! [Jinny gets up and puts her arms around Linzey] Jinny! *starts to cry* Please! Don't tell her!
Jinny: You can't hide this forever.
Linzey: I know that! This is the reason why I came to visit you, I was afraid I would get caught and I knew you wouldn't tell anybody if you found out!
Jinny: You know, when you were little, I never thought anything like this would happen. I just wish I knew what to do...


**[Scene 5]

[The next morning, at the station. Jinny is talking to Magda about the night before. Linzey went to the Anchorsire Bar & Grill to meet up with Jo*****eddy walks in.]
Teddy: *looks kind of nervous* Jinny?
Jinny: *looks at Magda* I'll be right back.
[Jinny and Teddy walk outside into the hall. There are people walking around and everything.]
Jinny: Teddy, I've been thinking about lastnight. And I think you're right about us. We should be closer.
Teddy: Are you serious?
Jinny: Yes.
[Teddy gives Jinny a hug. Jinny looks kind of embarassed.]
Jinny: I gotta get back to work.
Teddy: Bye.
[Jinny looks at Teddy and then turns around and walks back into the room.]
Magda: What was that all about?
Jinny: Last night, Teddy came over to my house, as you already know. He thought we should have a... closer relationship.
Magda: Wow. What did you say?
Jinny: I said I thought he was right about it.
Magda: So, what are you gonna do about Linzey?
Jinny: I don't know yet. She doesn't want me to tell her parents, but she can't keep going on like this.
Magda: Yeah. I know. So you think we should talk to the Captain about this?
Jinny: No. That will make her think even worse of her, and that's exactally what she doesn't need. I wish I knew what to do.
[Scene filps to the Anchorside where Linzey and Josh are sitting at a table talking.]
Linzey: How did you know I was here?
Josh: Well, you always talk about your cousin that lives in San Fran and how much you look up to her, so I thought I'd find you here.
Linzey: Why did you come find me?
Josh: You're parents are worried sick.
Linzey: Let 'em worry! I don't care!
Josh: Linzey, you need to come home.
Linzey: No, I'm happy right where I am and you can't change my mind.
[Josh sighs]
Josh: Fine. If you don't want to come back with me, I'm leaving.
Linzey: Fine! Leave!
[Magda and Jinny walk in just as Josh storms out the door. They find Linzey sitting by herself and sit down beside her.]
Jinny: What was he so mad about?
Linzey: I wouldn't go back home with him.
Jinny: Linzey, you really need to go home.
Linzey: Fine, if you don't want me, I'll go live in a motel.
[Starts to get up, but Magda grabs her and sits her back down.][Magda looks at Jinny]
Jinny: No, I didn't mean it that way. I just think you at least need to let your parents know where you are.
Linzey: If I do, does that mean I have to go back?
Jinny: Linzey, that's your decesion. Not mine.

**[Scene 6]
[Jinny and Linzey are at the station. Linzey's using Jinny's phone to call her parents. Her mom answers the phone.]
Gina: Hello?
Linzey: Mom?
Gina: *sounds excited* Linzey! Is that you? Where are you!? Are you OK?
Linzey: Mom, I'm fine. I'm with Jinny.
Gina: Thank God you're safe! When are you coming home?
Linzey: Mom, I'm not coming home.
*long pause*
Gina: *sounds depressed* *starts to cry* Why, Linzey?
Linzey: Mom, I like it here in San Francisco! I don't want to leave. I'm fine here with Jinny.
Gina: Let me talk to her.
[Linzey gives Jinny the phone.]
Gina: Jinny? Why doesn't she want to come home?
Jinny: I don't know. Maybe she wants a change.
Gina: Do you care if she stays with you?
Jinny: Uhh... *pauses* *thinks about Teddy* *sounds sad* No.
Gina: Tell her I love her.
Jinny: Ok, I will. Talk to you later. Bye.
Gina: Bye.
[Jinny hangs up the phone.]
Linzey: Thanks for not saying anything, Jinny.
Jinny: No problem. So, how's about we go get something to eat?
Linzey: Sure. Why not?
[When they're about to walk out the door, the door opens, it's Teddy.]
Teddy: Oh, sorry. I didn't know she was still here.
Jinny: It's OK. She's gonna be staying with me for a while... Linzey, can you go into the bedroom for a second? We've gotta talk.
Linzey: Sure... *snickers*
[Linzey walks into the bedroom and lays on the bed]
Jinny: What's up?
Teddy: I wanted to take you out to dinner tonight, but...
Jinny: She can stay here by herself! She's old enough... *shouts* Linzey!!!!
[Linzey walks into the room.]
Linzey: What?
Jinny: Can you take a rain check on tonight?
Linzey: Oh, I see... sure.
Teddy: Thanks, Linzey. So, Jin, I guess we can go to the Anchorside...
Jinny: Sounds alright to me.
[Jinny and Teddy leave. Linzey takes out her knife. There are flash backs of when she started cutting herself. She puts the knife on the table and grabs a piece of paper. She writes the words , "Thank you." and puts it on top of her knife. Linzey... went home.]**[Later... after Jinny and Teddy's date... Teddy takes Jinny home. Jinny opens the door.]
Jinny: Linzey!! *she starts looking around the apartment and comes across the piece of paper. She picks it and the knife up. Teddy comes behind her and puts him arms on her shoulders, leaving Teddy and Jinny... ALONE.] [The screen fades out...] <Use your imagination here >
