Post And Again? Please tell me if I should finish it!

Well... Please tell me what you think!

And Again?

Lydia Butcher clutched the phone to her ear and dialed her uncle's number. 'Uncle Teddy? It's Lydia. Mom and Dad were in an accident and they were killed. I'll arrange to fly to San Fransisco to meet you. See you soon.' She hung up.

Jinny Exstead watched as Theodore Bluementhal hung up the phone and sighed. 'What?' she asked him.
'My sister and her husband were killed in an accident. That was my 14-year-old niece, Lydia. I'm next of kin, so guess what I get from my sister's will?'

Theodore had a case at the DA's office, so he sent Jinny, Magda, and C.D. to get Lydia.
C.D. had asked Jinny, 'Do you know what she looks like?'
Jinny had replied, 'Only that she has brown hair and green eyes. Nothing else.'
Magda had kept reassuring Jinny. 'Don't worry. You'll be fine.'

Lydia paced in front of the vending machine in the airport. She had been waiting for about 10 minutes for Uncle Teddy to show up, but so far all she had seen was a Hispanic woman in her early 30's, and tall blonde also early 30's and a brunette about 5'5" who looked extremely nervous. 'God, I'm thirsty,' she thought, but she didn't have any money with her. The brunette and the Hispanic woman approached her. The brunette spoke. 'We're looking for a Lydia Elisabeth Butcher.'
'That's me.'
'I'm Jinny Exstead and this is Magda Ramirez.'
'Where's my uncle?'
'I'll tell you about in the car.'

Chapter 2

At the station, Theodore couldn't keep still. He kept thinking about Lydia. He hadn't seen her since she was five. And then all of the sudden she calls to tell him that his younger sister was killed? He wasn't sure how to handle it. He didn't have much time to ponder it, either. Because, there, in the doorway, was an exact replica of his sister at 14. 'Lydia,' he said.
'Uncle Teddy!' She ran to him and gave him a hug. 'Why weren't you there at the airport?'
'Well, I had a case. And I wanted you to get accquainted with Jinny. See, we live together. Now, you're adding to the family.'
'Yeah, whatever... Um... can we go home? I want to get my stuff organized and everything.'
'Yeah, sure. Jinny, would you take her?'
Lydia held up her hand. 'No, no! I'll wait for your lunch break, Uncle T.' She sat down in his chair. 'So, what do I do now?'
'Um... you get out of my chair and into my car! I'm on lunch.'

Around midnight, Lydia had just finished putting her clothes away. (She hadn't gotten started until 10.) She sat down on her bed to write in her journal.

'Dear Diary,
I guess I'll get used to it here. It's not at all like home. Uncle T hasn't changed much, but his new roommate? I hate her.'

Jinny came into her room. 'Hey, you. What are you doin' up?'
Lydia wasn't coy. 'I don't know. Maybe I was waiting for you and my uncle to go to sleep so I could sneak out of the window, meet a 30-year-old ma, get high on dope, and have sex all night long.'

Should I finish it?

T: You're in danger and I'm supposed to hide in the closet?
J: No, you're supposed to hide under the covers with me 'cause it's warmer! Come on!

Magda : "What would you do if a guy didnt call? "
Jinny:"Oh, they always call. They want to know me, they want to be a part of my life. They want to share."
Magda: "But if they didn't? "
Jinny: I would breathe a great big sigh of relief unless of course I liked him then i would just hunt him down and slash his tires.

It's me, AlexzBonner, back and better than ever! Yeah, anyway, here's some more.

Jinny cleared her throat. 'Well... Lyddie--'
Lydia interrupted. 'It's LYDIA. Only my FAMILY calls me that.'
'All right, LYDIA! I used to be just like you.'
'Tell Uncle Teddy that I want to join a convent.'
'Yeah, I'll do that. Tomorrow you'll start school! Won't that be fun?'
'Yeah! But, wait! I don't have crayons or markers or anything fun like that. Oh! And what about the round tipped siscors? No kid can go to school without those!'
'Maybe I can talk your uncle into putting school off for a few days. Until after your parents' funeral.'
'It's okay. I mind very much. Can I stay home by myself tomorrow?'
'I don't see why not. You're 14, aren't you?'
'Last time I looked at my birth certificate.' Jinny stood up to leave. 'Oh, Jinny?'
She turned around. 'Hmm?'
Lydia smiled. 'Thanks.'
'Don't mention it, kid.' She walked out of the room.
As soon as Lydia was sure that Jinny and Teddy were asleep, she slipped a glass vile out of her black leather backpack. 'I know what I have to do,' she said aloud. 'Only problem is... I don't have needles.' She put the vile back in her bag and went to sleep.

The next morning, Jinny woke Lydia up at 6:30. 'Lydia... get up. You're goin' with you uncle today.' Lydia didn't stir. 'Murder case.' Still nothing. 'Free donuts?' Lydia sat upright.
'Where?' she said.
'In court! Get your butt downstairs.'
As Lydia got out of bed she grabbed the vile and her clothes and went into the bathroom.

The lawyer paced back and forth in front of the witness stand. Finally, he spoke. 'Let me tell you somethin', Bridges, you better have a d**m good alibi to where you were on the night Mrs. Smith was killed.'
Lydia stared at the judge and fingered the vile in her hand. 'This is what I'm gonna do...' she thought. She leaned over and tapped Theodore on the shoulder. 'Uncle T, what's the case?' she whispered.
'See, the plaintiff, Mr. Smith, said that the defendant, Mr. Bridges killed his wife. Nothing big.'
'Muder's not big,' Lydia whispered.
The lawyer said, 'Let's assume that you didn't kill Mrs. Smith for a moment--'
Lydia spoke. Objection, your honor. Leading the witness.'
The judge smiled at Lydia then looked sternly at Theodore. 'Well, ADA, are you gonna say anything?' Teddy shook his head. 'The child's right! Sustained. You'll make a good lawyer one day, kid.'
I g2g!
