Our Crazy Lives

This new sitcom stars Ellen Page as Stefanie Stewart, a sarcastic yet likeable twentysomething who lives in her Milwaukee loft apartment with her longtime best friend, Nina Fletcher (Jena Malone). Stefanie and Nina both have boyfriends who are also good friends; Andrew Coleman (Dustin Milligan) is Stefanie's boyfriend, and Shawn Woods (A.J. Trauth) is Nina's boyfriend. Across the hall from Stefanie and Nina's apartment lives twin siblings, Darcy and Max Laken (Misti Traya, Ricky Ullman), whom are good friends with the gang. The lives of these six friends have recently grown to become more complicated. Starting with, Andrew's innocent crush on his girlfriend's best friend (Nina) has blossomed into a full-fledged secretive love affair. While Nina is preoccupied with her private relationship with Andrew on the side, her relationship with Shawn starts to fizzle. Especially when Shawn is faced with the decision to come to terms with his sexuality after spending more and more time with the openly-bisexual Max, who's attracted to Shawn. Also, Darcy struggles with her lifelong decision to stay celibate and saving herself for marriage. To make matters more complex, Stefanie's family life has expanded when Stefanie's mom, Ellen Stewart (Jamie Lee Curtis) marries Stefanie's stepdad, Doug Klein (D.W. Moffett), thus adding a new father figure and a hunky and horny stepbrother, Jackson Klein (Taylor Handley). Much to Stefanie's dismay and frustration, her new stepbrother (Jackson) seems to have an on-going thing for his new "weirdly-attractive" stepsister (Stefanie). Watch how Stefanie Stewart, along with her friends and family, deals with life's trials and tribulations, as well as the stresses of everyday life living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Episodes

Ep1: Pilot Episode:
Stefanie returns back to Milwaukee after being in Hawaii to celebrate Ellen and Doug's wedding nupitals. Andrew and Nina are almost caught in the act by Stefanie as she returns, but end up sweating it when their secret affair remains kept secret. Andrew and Nina decide to become less risky about their secret hookups, in fear of getting caught (especially now Stef is back). Meanwhile, Darcy has her suspicions about Max's intentions when it comes to Max and Shawn's newfound friendship.

Ep2: Love Me No More:
Darcy experiences hardship with her boyfriend when he decides to breakup with her after she refuses to sleep with him after their one year anniversary. Darcy finds solace with Max, Nina, and Stefanie --who all go out for cocktails to drink away her sorrows and take it off her mind. Meanwhile, Andrew learns his married boss is having an affair, which his boss resorts to bribing him to keeping his mouth shut--especially after learning his mistress is one of the employees at work (who's barely legal). Elsewhere, Shawn reflects on her friendship with Max, and Max's unethical advice (about every guy needs to experiment at least once in his lifetime)--which causes Shawn to become more confused and perplexed about things.

Ep3: OMG, Shut Up:
Stefanie, along with Nina, attends a night out with Ellen, Doug, and Jackson for supper. During the dinner, Ellen and Doug's lovey-dovey attitudes end up irritating Stefanie and Jackson, but Nina finds it "adorable". After dinner, Jackson tags along with Stef and Nina when they go out for drinks--meeting up with Andrew and Darcy. Jackson fits in well with the gang, but ends up annoying Stefanie with Jackson's partyboy antics. Meanwhile, Max and Shawn end up scoring a stash of marijuana after a chance encounter with one of Darcy's drug-dealing ex-boyfriends, Alex (Cam Gigandet), then resulting in the three guys going back to Max (and Darcy)'s apartment to indulge in the festivities.

Ep4: Oh, Mother..and Brother:
Nina gets a surprise visit with her longtime single mom, Wendy (Mary Louise Parker) and her kid brother, Jason (Josh Hutcherson). Jason becomes infatuated with Darcy and Stefanie, while Wendy tries to bond with her daughter and eventually receives the vibe that Nina is being secretive about something (but can't put her finger on it). That is, until Andrew stops over and Wendy picks up on "the tension" between Nina and Andrew, which results in a private mother-daughter heart-to-heart chat. Wendy confesses she's been "the other woman" and had affairs with her friend's boyfriends/fiancees/husbands before, and lets Nina in on the effects of that behavior, much to a now-guilt-ridden Nina's dismay. Elsewhere, Darcy learns of Max and Andrew's pot-smoking in the apartment (which infuriates her to no end), especially when she finds out (from Andrew) that her ex, Alex was involved in the festivities too.
